Because Vidette is too hard headed to listen to me. Look...Evie isn't done with her shit. I've never seen her hate someone as much as she hates Vid, and she's going to do everything in her power to make sure that her life is miserable.

Um, well. To put it simply...Vidette dated Jem. Evie liked Jem. Evie couldn't have Jem. Vidette broke up with Jem for Talan. Evie never got over the fact that Vidette even dated Jem in the first place and never got a real chance with him herself. Now Evie is back to ruin Vidette's life and give her a taste of how miserable Evie was when she had to watch her sister date Jem. [takes a deep breath] Trivial, yes. But that's Evie for you.

Exactly. Jem was the only thing Evie always wanted, and the only thing she was never able to have. Since then, she's made it her mission to get her way, no matter what it is that she's after. Currently, she's after Vid. And if that means going through you to do it, she'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

...Do you even know how weird it is that you know that I sounded like a Lifetime movie? Ew, okay. I don't like to imagine either of my sisters' tongues down anyone's throat, so let's not go there again. Um, well...I don't think you're really going to like this idea, but it's something, and it would throw Evie off her guard.

You just rolled your eyes at me, didn't you? I can feel your sarcasm oozing through the phone. Well, okay. You and Vidette could kind of...maybe...pretend to have broken up? Convince everyone around you that it's all Evie's fault and you're miserable without one another, but like...see each other in secret, or whatever. The only person who would know would be me, and Evie would never see it coming.
