winter, it might have been bailey's favorite time of the year besides fall. snow was on the ground and everything just felt cheerful. don't get her wrong, she loves summer and no school, but the scenery during fall and winter was just unbeatable. in the fall, the leaves covered the ground and the trees were filled with autumn colors of bronzes and reds. in the winter, the white blanket of snow was just everywhere and it was truly a sight to see in maine. this is one of the main reasons why bailes loves maine, most of the views and the way the land looks. she has seen these things since she was so little, they're planted in her memory, making snowmen with her daddy, snowball fights with her brother and jumping into leaves with friends. as she looks back on everything in her life she pretty much always got exactly what she ever wanted and had a great life; there isn't much she can complain for. there are parts where it has turned upside down and inside out but she's lived through it all and got through it. bailey had good people by her side now-a-days, people like her brother landon and girls like shayne who she can really go to if she needed them. she may not have her parents so close to her anymore, but she had people that could be in their place for now. she can't say that she believes in god, but if there was one and she did believe, she would've said that he was definitely on her side for most of her life.
there was so much going on anymore. she's really growing up. she's still the same old bailey grace, but she's sixteen now, she's learning how to drive, she's a big girl now. there seems to be no holding back this little blond from what she wants. what she's been thinking about lately was how she missed playing with her friend's animals or being with animals every once and a while. she's been asking landon for a dog for a little while, he said it was a definate maybe and it really got bailes excited. for sure if she got a dog she knew she'd name it gizmo or dimitri. random names. she was a teenager, if she didn't think of anything better then that she'd call it bob or billy joe or she'd hand the naming to land-o-lakes. bailes knew she couldn't get too excited or happy about the maybe. a maybe isn't always a yes, but fifty percent of the time it is. the other fifty percent is a no, but she really didn't want to think of the negative. thinking that the answer was a definite no didn't exactly help anything. truly bailes was a pretty positive person, she looks at the glass as 'half full' and as an age as 'years young'.
but anyway, it was finally the weekend and bailey couldn't be happier about it. two days of sleeping in and not going to school at seven thirty in the morning. today was saturday and she was planning on doing some relaxing today. her thoughts were to sit around watch tv, eat ice cream and junk food and maybe even steal a few of landon's disney movies for herself to watch. there wasn't really a plan for this weekend. her friends were all out of town on a trip, and she was left behind because she really doesn't like long car rides or anything that involves sitting down for a long period of time. being restricted and sitting down in a car got boring and annoying after maybe a half an hour. she really would have to have something distracting her brain from the fact that she couldn't walk around. but anyway, the point is that she is stuck at home trying to find something to do and what she found to entertain herself was sleeping, watching tv and eating junk food.
around noon she heard landon yell at he was going out to run some errands and get some things for the house. bailey said okay and whatever and went back to doing her thing. she went on the computer for a while, going on facebook and twitter and even watching some of those hulu episodes of shows and listening to music on youtube. it sounds rather boring, but to bailey this was her alone time fun. she liked being alone at times. she liked living with her brother because he gave her space when she really needed it and when she just asked for it. she had bailey time, sometime that alot of people didn't really get to have. she wondered how it would be if she had other siblings living with her and landon or if she had other siblings at her parents, jeeze, live would probably suck at that point.
it had been a while since landon had left to run errands and such and bailey wondered when he would return. but now she was occupying herself by sitting on her bed and watching an old disney movie she found laying on her floor. she really missed watching these with daddy and landon as she sat on daddy's lap. sometimes bailes grows a little sad thinking about how her parents are now. now, they're alcoholics and not the people she knew when she was five. sometimes she missed being with them, but don't get her wrong she loves her life, she loves living with her brother. but sometimes it all gets to her and she tries to hide her feelings, act hyper and happy, put on a face to show she's still as happy as ever. life gets damn hard the more you grow up. where does the time go and how can she get it back?

The winter was something that a lot of people liked because of the snow and how it made outside look whenever the snow wasn’t covered in dirt or turned into slush. If there was one season that Landon could like, it was this season, because of how much fun it was to do things. Sure he had liked all the other seasons, but it was just something about the winter he enjoyed more of. It brought back great memories of his childhood, and even now. Some of those great memories were building a snow fort to attack his sister with snowballs, making a snowman with her, tackling Shayne in the snow for pure fun, taking random walks and just being kids in the snow. It didn’t matter what age he was, he had enjoyed just playing in the snow. He tried to block out the memories of his younger child hood with his parents and the snow, all the snow funs and traveling in the snow. Why did they matter to him anymore? They weren’t his parents nor were they his sister’s. They never really were their parents. Landon was the real parent basically, he had taught her a lot more than their parents ever could. He was her sole guardian now. Others would be all ‘why you gotta raise her, I would never raise my sibling’. Well, she was sixteen, and Landon rather have her with him than with their parents and truth was, Landon really loved his sister, though half the time they never showed it because of how they were... Wait, they shouldn’t even be called parents. They should be called donors. That’s how much Landon had blocked out of his head. So, the winter had its good moments and its bad, only the good ones would stay in his mind for good.
Since Bailey was sixteen, he had more problems to deal with. Her being a teenager. She was a junior in the high school, learning how to drive, dealing with boys, knowing the rights from wrong among other things. Landon wasn’t that much of a help sometimes, only because he was a guy. The best thing he could really do for her was tell her how to tell if a guy was being a doucher or a true guy. He could help her learn how to drive, but he needed more help other than those problems. That’s where Shayne came in, his best friend in the whole wide world, and his ex. He doesn’t even count her as an ex anymore because of the fact of them being best friends. She could help Bailey with the boys and dates and just help Landon raise her. In some odd way, it was like Shayne and Landon were the parents. He knew she missed her childhood a lot, and he knew that it wasn’t her fault about their parents. He could change things if he wanted, but he knew he couldn’t. It was just not possible. Though, there was something she kept bugging him about.. A dog. Landon would admit right now he never really liked dogs, he didn’t know why. Sure they all said ‘A dog is a man’s best friend’ but Landon didn’t need a dog as his best friend. Landon had told her he would think about it, leaving it as a maybe with her. He had to think about it, though she did promise him she would take care of it and everything else. So that was a plus, but the negative was the fact that what would happen when they weren’t around? Or something else along those lines sort of.
Landon had told Bailey he was going out for a while, to get stuff for the house and to run some errands. Once he had gotten into his car, he had already got onto the phone with Shayne and told her what he was going to do. Obviously she flipped out, but understood instantly about it all. It was highly amusing about the following conversations they had after that. It went from dogs to taking Lando’s pants off. No they weren’t going to go at it, he was going to pick her up from her house to go get what Landon was originally went out for. He was going to get Bailey the dog he found online and showed her. That picture was to see if that was the right size dog he wanted, and she obviously said she liked it. So, telling her that he was going to see what he could do and leaving it at a maybe, Landon found a place selling them and made the decision to go get her the dog. It was a cute dog; Landon would admit that right there. He stayed talking to Shayne all the way until he reached her house and her door. Their conversations were the weirdest, but he hung up the phone with her as he walked into the house and went looking for her until he had found her upstairs like she said she was, looking for her shirt. So there Shayne was, in a bra, in front of Landon. It’s not like he hasn’t seen anything before, he has really, and now they just like to make jokes about their little sex lives and what not. Well, you’re damn right. That bra fits you well Honey. Then again, since I’m here I have to drop my pants. Landon said with a smirk. It was all a big joke… So, Landon did what Shayne wanted him to do, and so he did. Laughing, he showed off those brand spankin new boxers. Pretty awesome huh? Alright find a shirt, we got to go get a dog. Landon said, pulling up his pants and just standing there waiting for her. Finding a shirt, Shayne got herself ready just as Landon left to go down stairs.
Waiting for her to get the rest of herself ready, Landon headed into the kitchen and grabbed a pop out of the fridge and got some little munchies from her pantry. He enjoyed that he could just walk into her house, tell her to get ready, and go grab something to eat and drink. Just as she came down the stairs, Landon just smiled as he was just eating there. He swallowed and chuckled lightly. I told Bailey I’d be back later with stuff. So let’s go. I don’t have all day for your lazy ass to give me a look. Love you. Landon said laughing as they both exited the house. He unlocked his car, getting himself in and turning the car on as she entered in. What was true was that Landon was a maniac when he drove. This was told in his conversation with her on his way here. He pulled out of her drive way and started driving off then. You’ll like this dog Shayne. It’s like a little fur ball, but still manageable to see a face and a body surprisingly enough.
[/b] He said with a small laugh. All he could imagine now was the expression on his sister’s face when she sees him and Shayne with a dog in tow. status: finished tagged: shay&&bails words: 1200 notes: woooowwwwww:) credit: template made by me[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

this post is tagged for landon alexander cambridge && bailey grace cambridge . it is dunzo and has one thousand two hundred and ninety seven words. the one and only 10 years contributed to this inspiration from the song shoot it out . this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes puppy love <3 ______________________ Shayne Brennan had one of those crazy beautiful lives that never worked the way that she wanted it too. She had gone to work today, and was one of the few people that were done early. Never did she get a day that she left work early, and she was going to take this to the whole advantage that she could. She had driven to her apartment completely set on getting changed and then finding either her boyfriend, Vidette, or going to Landon’s. That was the goal but that never worked out the way that she had wanted it too. After her little incident with Kaler on the telephone, she had been a little terrified to try and call Vidette. So that was really out of the question, especially when she took the long way home, which passed by her best friends home, and saw the slick black camaro sitting in the driveway. That threw out that plan, and she also knew that Jem was supposed to be working. Their plans were for that evening, because they had the same schedule for once. So when she got home, she was actually thrilled to receive a phone call from none other than Landon Cambridge. He was her best friend, and that was one of the many things that she loved about her life. Sure they had dated way back when she first got to the town of Arietta, but that was a few years ago and now they never referred to each other as the exes. Sure anyone that heard the way that they talked would think they were dating, but that was not the case. She was very happy dating James Hale, and that was the way that it was going to stay. Shayne just liked to talk dirty to Landon and make everyone around them uncomfortable. It was their nitch.
So when she was talking to him, naturally it was about her new bra that she was currently running around her house in. She still could not believe that Landon had agreed to buy a dog for Bailey. As much as she loved the girl, and okay maybe she deserved a chance to prove herself, but a dog was a living thing! It was going to need to be taken care of and taken out in the middle of the night. It was something that was going to need to be taken care of when it was completely inconvenient for everyone around it. She felt like a mom to both of them sometimes, but that was who she was. She looked out for them, because really she was the older sister to everyone. It was her job to help raise Bailey, and she knew that whenever she had met the family. She was totally okay with being there for her every step of the way. Bailey knew that she could call Shayne with anything, especially if Landon was being an ass. It was rare, but sometimes Shayne was just the person that she needed. So if they were going to get a dog, then she sure as hell was going to be there with them whenever Bailey got to see it. Shayne was ripping around her house, and was still not finding any of her clothes. She had looked in the laundry room, in the basement, in the kitchen, dining room, her bathroom. It was getting a little annoying whenever Rockie decided to rearrange the entire house, but she also took all of the major clothes that she wore to Jem’s. It was basically like she lived there, but had some where she could go if things weren’t working. Or if she needed somewhere to just be herself. It was her bachelorette pad, and she loved it.
Shayne had managed to find a pair of jeans to put over her blue lace underwear, which happened to match the blue bra that was on her petite frame. She knew that seeing her barely dressed was nothing new for Landon, but she was not looking forward to him finding her still not ready. She was a nurse and knew how to get ready at the drop of the hat. It was also the reason that her hair was still up in the usual ponytail; Jem loved her ponytail. She had no idea why, because she personally loved the fact that her hair was long. It was something she had worked long and hard on after Jack had died, just because she had such short hair whenever he was alive. It was still something that bothered her from time to time, but not whenever she was with Jem. That was something that had never bothered her, except whenever they first started dating. She always knew he would want her to be happy, and that was what Jem was for her. He was the reason that she was happy, so she knew Jack would have been okay with that. So she was still hunting for the damn shirt and then she heard Landon’s voice. Her dark eyes were immediately brought from her drawers to him. “Oh I know it does, it matches the lace underwear I have on too. But yes you need to drop the drawers and let me see those boxers of yours.” She laughed lightly, and then his jeans were down around his ankles. Lando was probably the most awkward person that she knew, and yet he was one of the happiest. “They are pretty hot. I would definitely sleep with you in those, and what do you think I have been doing for fifteen minutes. Rockie moved everything or I took it to Jem’s I cannot find a damn thing to wear.” She started to shift through clothes, but there was Landon heading down the stairs. She looked in her closet and finally found something.
When she came down the stairs, she knew exactly where to find him. Landon was in her kitchen and it was obvious that he was rooting through her food again. He grinned at her and it was something that she just shook her head at him as she walked out the door with him to the car. She climbed in the passenger seat and looked around for a sweatshirt that she knew she had left in it earlier in the week. She was brilliant and forgot her coat. “You know Bails is going to shit her pants when we walk in with a dog right? I better like it if it will be yelping at me when I am over there.” She said with a smirk, and then the maniac started driving. They got to where they were supposed to be picking up the dog, and Landon was right. It was a beautiful dog, and she was not displeased with it. It actually liked her, and that was something that was good. Especially if the dog was going to sitting in her lap on the way back to Landon’s house. “You know, this is a cute little thing. Just don’t crush him Lando. We want him alive for a very long time.” She smiled as she pet the dog that was currently sitting in her lap. The drive back to Landon’s was short and simple; Shayne kept staring at the dog and was just glad now that she was not the debbie downer and had said no. They entered the house, and Shayne yelled up at Bailey, making sure she could hear that it was indeed Shayne. Landon was carrying all the other stuff necessary for the dog, and that was when she saw the blonde bounce down the stairs. “Surprise!
