The wedding between Jared and Miranda Trent had been absolutely spectacular, and Vidette honestly could not remember a time in her life where she had seen two people look so hopelessly in love. The way they had looked at one another, like they were the only two people on Earth, had her stomach flip flopping around like mad. It was just lovely. And she was rather proud of herself for ignoring the stares of hatred that Kaler's maniac ex-girlfriend, Isobel Caulfield, continued to send her across the aisle. Now all she had to do was avoid the girl during the reception and all would be well. So far, she had succeeded at doing just that. She and Kaler had danced to a few of the songs and she jealously watched him drinking champagne and imported wine, joking around with some friends and marveling at the way Randi seemed to just glow when her new husband was around. After a while, she and Kaler had gone off in different directions, Vidette making her way over to dance and act silly with Hunter and Kade while Kaler disappeared to socialize with other people as well. Hunter was the only other person who knew about her pregnancy, and therefore understood why she had turned down the countless amounts of alcohol that was provided to her throughout the evening. Kade had teased her and so had Shayne, who had joined them briefly before departing to grab drinks, while Viddy merely flushed and brushed them off, not wanting to fill them in on her new dilemma right at that moment. Besides, telling Kade probably wouldn't be the smartest idea, and Shayne would pop a vein with the knowledge that a baby 'Satan' was growing in her belly.
So, unfortunately, Vidette was sober. Dry as the fucking Sahara Desert. Everyone around her was joyously intoxicated, or on their way to it, and she was sipping water and staring at the cake like she was about ready to attack it and shove the whole damn thing in her mouth. And that was when it happened. Izzy the raging bull pushed through the crowd, her eyes trained on Vidette as she leaned against the bar with a grape halfway into her mouth, shouting at the top of her lungs. Viddy's eyes widened, letting the grape fall to the floor as the girl raged on, the scent of alcohol washing over her instantly. Well that made sense - the girl was piss drunk. "Um," Vidette stammered, defenseless. This confrontation was long overdue, but did it really have to happen now? Vid was all for public displays of outrage, but to ruin a wedding with it was just...pathetic. Her mouth flopped open and closed like a fish out of water as more accusations and obscenities tumbled from Izzy's mouth, still advancing on her like she was on a mission.

this post is tagged for vidette isabelle garland . it is dunzo and has six hundred and five words. the one and only chevelle contributed to this inspiration from the song jars . this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes shit's going down ______________________ There was one thing that Izzy probably should not have been doing that day, and it was drinking. She had only gone to the damn thing because Jared basically twisted her arm, and ever since she arrived it had been a mistake. She was seriously completely insane for thinking that this was a good idea because all she had to see was the glances between the two of them and she was crushed. She hated Vidette for reasons that made no sense to many others; Kaler had been a broken mess when she had met him. That girl had completely crushed him and it had been Izzy that had picked up the pieces. It had been her that had suggested the only thing that could have broken her heart, and she had let herself get attached to Kaler Scott. Something that was not in her blood; she was callous, calculated and now she was the girl in high school that got her heart broken and watched as her ex was so very happy forgetting all about her. Kaler had talked to her once since their break up, once outside of work, and it broke her heart like no other. She had lost her best friend, and that was not sitting well with the brunette as she knocked back shots of whatever she could find, mixing in some champagne and the latter. She sat in the reception knocking back drink after drink, and she smiled at the people that seemed to want to talk to her. Kade made an appearance at some point, but he was busy doing other wedding party related things. So he couldn’t stick around and keep her company; Dereck was off taking pictures, so Izzy just sat there drinking.
Something happened in Izzy that whenever she saw Vidette in her current state of drunken stupidity that she just snapped. Something happened in her that it just sent her in a mood. Isobel had loved Kaler, and she still did because he had managed to make her feel like her world stopped moving when he was away. Vidette had never realized what she put him through or that he actually mattered. She had broken him and it was hard for her to sit there and watch her be so damn happy now that she had the the man that Izzy loved. Vidette had ruined that because for some reason he still could not get over the girl that was in his heart, and the worst part was that she plagued her enough to end things that were perfect in their own twisted way. Izzy stomped over in her high heels, struggling to keep her balance due to her highly intoxicated state. A promise that she had broken because of what she had to live through. Izzy stood right in front of her and started to lash out. “You are such a selfish bitch that doesn’t even fucking deserve him. You know you fucking broke him, and what he sees in you is beyond me! You can’t just decide that you want him back one day and not realize the catalyst that you put on everyone else around him. Stupid selfish fucking bitch that doesn’t give a shit about anyone but her own fucking happiness. You don’t deserve him.” She brought her glass to her lips and knocked back the entire glass of champagne. Izzy was drunk and she could feel rage racing through her entire body. It was going to be an act of God himself if she didn’t haul ass and punch her in the face that evening.

To this day, Vidette still didn't quite understand what she had done to piss Isobel off so terribly. Kaler was the one who had screwed her over, and she had left him as the right thing to do in order to perserve at least a sliver of her dignity. There were no words to express how much she truly and honestly loved Kaler, and having him break her like that wasn't something she could sweep under the rug and pretend never happened. She needed time to recouperate, and if he still wanted her at the end of the day, he was more than willing to come and get her. It only took him a month to understand that, but apparently, in that time span, Izzy had come to the conclusion that she and Kaler were going to spend eternity together and that Vidette was the bad guy in the whole situation. That she had absolutely no right to have Kaler in her life, which was only proven true with her incessant ranting on about how she didn't deserve him and how she was a selfish bitch. Viddy merely stared at her, sipping casually on the water in her hand. God damn she needed a drink right now. She blinked as Izzy knocked back her glass of champagne, desire raging through her as the carbonated liquor disappeared from the glass. Fuck pregnancy, seriously. "You're right," she stated, setting her glass down on the nearest surface, her eyes longingly drifting to the grape she had just dropped on the floor. "I don't deserve him. But I don't think you understand that I didn't decide that I wanted him back. I didn't show up at his house and beg for him to forgive me when I had done nothing wrong. He wanted me back. He apologized to me. And you weren't good enough to keep him. So apparently, you don't deserve him either." Vidette's eyes drifted over to a glass of champagne that had just been placed on the bar beside her, and suddenly she didn't care anymore. One glass couldn't hurt the baby. Her eyes met Izzy's as she grabbed it off the bar, lifting it up in the air and casually saying, "Cheers!" before tossing her head back and letting the alcohol fizzle down her throat, as if she had absolutely no care in the world that psycho-drunk-bitch was about to kick her ass.
