'Toto... I have a feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore.' That line summed up more of how Anna felt at this moment in time than anything else she had heard or seen in a very long time. Maybe she wasn't from Kansas, but from North Carolina, but what's the difference? The meaning is all the same either way. 800 miles from home. 800 miles from anyone she knows, the only companion so far in this small town seemed to be her dog, whom by the way seemed to hate the cold just as much as she did. everything here was different, that was a fact not opinion. coming all the way to a whole different state, to another climate, to another life style would seem like a stupid decision to some... but not to Anna. she knew she was insane for packing up and moving away from everything she knew, but she had a gut feeling. one of those inklings that she felt if she didn't act on now, she was going to lose a once in a lifetime chance. could she be wrong about this? yes.. but even sitting there in her living room watching the very famous Wizard of Oz she knew this is where she was suppose to be. Not north Carolina, not new York, not anywhere... but here. insane? maybe.. but that was anna... and some things that girl just can't change. even if it meant living out of boxes for the rest of her life, which was seeming to be the case, defiantly since most of the stuff that needed putting up, or unpacking wasn't a one person job. hell she was still sleeping on the couch because she couldn't' get her bed put together by herself. helpless? no.. just a little uncoordinated when it comes to putting things together piece by piece. the more she does it the more she seems to realize that she leaves more pieces out each time. but oh well right? who needed to use all the pieces if it worked right.. or so she thought, because she has had her moments to nearly break her neck from 'half' putting something together. but we all have our flaws.
with the credit rolls running, and Jude running around in continuous circles before barking at the door.. she knew what he wanted. to go outside, even if she didn't quiet understand it because the cold had never been either of their things, she just let the little puppy out before shaking her head and looking out the sun bright in the sky.. something she had missed dearly she decided today was to much of a pretty day to be just lounging around lonely like in the house... which was a regular occurrence around here, but not today. even jac, a girl she had talked to awkwardly over msn said she needed to get out more, so this was her chance. with a quick change and hair up do in tact, she pulled on her heels and was out the door. with her jacket bundling her up, and the heater in her little truck pushing full blast Anna drove.. and drove.. riding around in circles it seems, not being familiar with a town really showing as she road past the same store about five times before finally realizing she would probably be better on foot. parking her car Anna slipped out, her camera secure in the backseat, and her hands deep in her pockets as she just walked past a few restaurants and onto a coffee shop..
Coffee, now that as something she hadn't had in a very long time. With a small smile plastered on her lips she allowed herself to slip inside, ordering her usual... well her usual back home and sitting down looking around at all the unfamiliar faces. being what seemed the only new girl to this town could defiantly be said to bother her. not having her usual support group of friends, or being known by name in her favorite shops, yes she would miss that. yes she would miss being able to walk around and not have to worry about where she was. ok... who wouldn't miss that? she was twenty, she was on her own and in a new place. a place that felt so right but so wrong at the same exact time. how do you expect it to affect her? in some amazing life changing way? maybe.. but so far, she was still looking for that life changing thing to walk into her life.. but hey, we all can't have our cinderella stories, defiantly not when you are in a town like this.. because honestly that was th the least thing from her mind. relationships had never been her strong point, and starting one so far away like this didn't seem to be on her agenda.. ever. not after being hurt like she was the last time.. but oh well.
with her oder number up, anna stepped up looking down at her money counting it out as she walked to the counter, picking up her drink and turning around. it only took a few steps before she felt something solid hitting her arm and chest, stumbling back wards she nearly dropped her coffee but saved it thanks to the lid, and stabling herself by grabbing onto whatever, or whomever she hit. that was before glancing up at what she had hit, or more like whom... her cheeks turning a red color and her eyes darting back down to his feet then back up before swallowing the lump in her throat. "i am so so so sorry! i have the worst luck with things like this..." Anna quickly looked him over once more before dropping her arm and standing up straight. "i should have been looking... you didn't drop anything right..?" OK.. nervous much? but what else was there to do in this situation..

The town seemed busy today. Something that Landon wasn’t really sure why of. There was no festival or little town gathering. There was nothing going on today, but why was the town so damn crowded? Landon probably figured it was just one of those winter days or that Valentine’s Day was coming up and everyone had to get their little gifts for their loved ones, or getting little Valentine’s Day cards for their kids to take to school. It was just a guess really, he didn’t know anything, and he rather has Valentine’s Day as something that is stupid. It didn’t need to be a holiday, it’s just pointless. There shouldn’t be one day to show that you love someone, you show it every day if anything, not just one day of the year. If there was anything else he could imagine why today was so busy, it was probably because today was one of those shopping days. Like it mattered to Landon, today he wasn’t shopping for one of those things or as what the people wanted. He actually had things he needed to get, like food for the dog and themselves, along with little stuff for the house. Yes, he had agreed to get Bailey a dog, only because he had thought about it along with her begging him at times, so why not. And that choice was reluctant. He made sure she had taken care of the dog, which she had been doing really well with, so today; he went shopping to get more dog food and probably a few toys for it. If she wasn’t going to take care of it well, she knew what he was going to do with the dog, give it to someone who would care. But luckily, she did take care of it. After all, he had to be careful where he stepped and had to interact with it at some point, only because it was living in his house. The dog wasn’t bad though, it was funny to see him play. Alright, Lando was being a softy and was falling for the dog; he couldn’t help the way it looked though. Yup, go ahead and laugh at him if you want.
He went walking around as stated above, his hands shoved into his pockets as he walked. He really wasn’t paying attention much, he was thinking about what he was going to do today once he got back home. Most likely he would get back home and watch Disney Movies with some popcorn. Call him a weirdo, but that was one of the things he liked to do to pass time. He didn’t care if it was Snow White or the Jungle Book or even Despicable Me –which was his favorite movie when Shayne came over, whatever movie just made time pass with him. It has happened that he fell asleep during one of the movies he had watched. His mind was clouded as he felt something. More like a push, come to think of it. His eyes went wandering around, wondering what the hell had bumped into him. Sure he wasn’t paying attention much, but he had known where he was going. It was then he had seen a patch of blonde hair and someone grabbing his arm. Obviously, if she was falling –he had figured it was a she, she must’ve grabbed his arm to catch herself. He had helped her stand on her feet, but gave a look to her. It wasn’t a mean look, but it was a questioning look of ‘what the fuck’. Then her rambling started as she started to apologize. Helping her again to her feet, Landon didn’t even look at her face. It was times like these that he was thankful he knew how to be like a gentlemen. His eyes went to look down at her. That’s when something snapped in his mind. He couldn’t explain it much, well; it was hard to explain actually, because there were really no words to actually describe it at all...
He pursed his lips, and kept his thoughts to himself. Landon huffed, but made it seem calm and collected. No no, you’re fine. I wasn’t paying attention myself. Too much up in the noggin actually and not enough attention to notice anything. Landon said pointing to his head with a small smile. He lowered his arm once she was standing straight and he brought it back to his side. Once again, No. I didn’t drop anything. Hands were in my pocket until someone grabbed my arm… Other than that, there was nothing that I had dropped. Landon spoke. He wasn’t going to be mean, because there was no reason to really. Landon was apologetic; he barely held grudges unless someone gave him a reason too. He sniffled, the cold getting to him and made his ears burn a bit, but it never bothered him. It was then something had hit him, he had never met this girl in his life. Was she new here? Or was she a resident from another town? Landon surely didn’t know, he didn’t know if he should bring it up to her or not, he didn’t know if it would be rude to ask because of the fact that this was an awkward place and it being that she probably didn’t talked to strangers, though that sounded completely odd. New girl huh? Welcome to Arietta mystery girl... I’m Landon Cambridge. Who is smart, charming, amazing body, funny… oh I should stop talking about myself. Landon added with a small hint of laughter at the end of his little speech. This guy had known the town really well, oddly enough, because he had seen every aspect of it all, probably because he had also lived here all his life and knew everything about it.

it was true that things around here were a lot different, anna would admit that. she would admit that she missed home, the comfort of knowing everyone. yes she missed that, but where was the point in living if all you are going to do is stay in one place your whole life. stay in your safe zone and never venture out in the world... hell if you are planning on doing that you might as well stay in your parents the rest of your life.. never have sex.. never drink... never party... there are a lot of things you would be missing, and that doesn’t change if you stay in your comfort zone your entire life.
at this point in time, well anna was far from her comfort zone. she had no clothes for the weather up here. she was use to cold.. but not cold as in well.. maine cold. maybe she was stupid for well, not buying a new wardrobe before she traveled her blond ass up here, but you know what, some people are slow at times, and anna is defiantly one of those who is slow as hell at times.. she didn’t figure the degree difference between the carolinas, and well here would be that much of a difference. boy was she wrong. the first day she was here, the first day she had to endure the cold that she had never felt before... well, she knew right a way as soon as she was settled in that she would be buying new clothes. until then she would be bundled up and staying inside as much as she could. wait.. now she was exaggerating.. there wasn’t that big of a difference between the degrees from her hometown to wear she stood now, but maybe it was the whole not use to being in a new town that made her feel like this.. she didn’t know.. hell she didn’t know anything about right now, all she could even think about was how her future reputation could be already threatened by her horrible footing, and her not looking out skills...
anna could feel her footing back to normal, and her body straighten as she just tightly grips onto the coffee, her eyes darting down automatically. her mind was racing.. really, what had she just done, who had she just crashed into? her luck it was some well, some big black (not racial profiling.. she had just had her spills with them back in school. you don’t even want to get her started on those stories.) girl who was going to kick her little ass.. well now wouldn’t that just be her luck.. she was already going to get her ass kicked so early into being here, but time his lips opened and words poured out, and her own eyes had well, already been on him as she overcame her fear of being jumped, she knew there was no way that he was someone the least bit unattractive. her eyes seemed to be glued for a moment as they just scanned over him, the blush on her face deepening for a moment as she just held her coffee to her chest. this was just her look. ten minutes into he first outing she was already crushing into the hottest guy she had laid eyes on since stepping into this place.. but oh well.. there wasn’t any going back now, now was there?
“No no, you’re fine. I wasn’t paying attention myself. Too much up in the noggin actually and not enough attention to notice anything... Once again, No. I didn’t drop anything. Hands were in my pocket until someone grabbed my arm…" oh hell.. wasn’t that just her luck. not only did she crash into him, she wripped his hands out of his pockets.. just great, how was she going to make up for that embarrassment, and with his eyes scanning her like she was a new piece of meat, which happened to be true.. her nerves only worsened.. now wasn’t this just dandy... “Other than that, there was nothing that I had dropped...New girl huh? Welcome to Arietta mystery girl... I’m Landon Cambridge. Who is smart, charming, amazing body, funny… oh I should stop talking about myself...” her words seemed to be caught in her throat as he talked.. she was screwed.. how was she going to... wait.. he didn’t say something smartass’y.. that was different. crooking her brow she tilted her head up and looked his face over, smirking slightly at his wording as she can’t help to let out a little laugh. “i.. am still sorry for that... i could have spilled my coffee on you.. at least i didn’t do that right?” a horrid attempt at trying to brighten herself up as she bit her lip a bit trying to regain her composure. “you seemed to nail that one right on the head, the smart, charming, amazing body, funny, Landon Cambridge..” a laugh leaving her pink lips as they curled into a bright smile. “but arietta mystery girl has a name... you know.. unless you want to just keep calling me that, or... the freak who runs into me.. you know.. i have been called things similar to that in the past.. so i would be use to it... oh wel-...” she stopped herself catching her own wording as she starts on another one of her little rambles cursing under her breath. “let... me just shut up.. i’m anna.. anna watts.. aka your arietta mystery girl... who is a rambling, clumsy, movie junky, coffee drinking country girl.. i couldn’t help myself.” she smiled a bit looking up at him taking a small sip of her coffee, wondering what in the world she could have possibly just gotten herself into.

She must have been horrified with how his height was. It made it seem like he was towering over her, and he wasn’t trying to be scary, but that’s how his stature was. He couldn’t change it, besides; it came in handy a lot. He gave a smile and nodded at the same time. I disagree. Clearly you made sure your coffee wouldn’t hit me. So I tell you, you’re perfectly fine. Don’t worry about it.
[/b] Landon said. He wasn’t going to lie, she was pretty cute. Oddly, she wasn’t the type that he usually went for, but something about her, he was already going liking her and thinking she was pretty something. She would probably be the one who would be a good friend he thought. But he started thinking, which isn’t a good thing, but he went on to thinking, why was he calling her pretty if he had just met her and doesn’t know who she was? Landon’s head was going cuckoo in his mind. He rarely had that going on in his head. He shook his head, clearing out his thoughts and was going to pay attention to her now. He watched her, which was something odd, but he did anyways. He didn’t know why, but whenever a girl bit her lip, he liked it. Oh, at least someone agrees with me on my rants with how I am. I mean, look at me. I could be the next Brad Pitt.[/b] Landon said laughing. He crossed his arms and set them on his chest as he stood there. There was something about her and he liked about her already, he couldn’t explain what it was, but there was something. He didn’t know if it was a good thing or not, but he liked it. People were walking around them, giving them a look like ‘okay guys, please move out of the way or something’. Landon just gave looks back and turned his attention back to mystery girl. That was probably going to be the only way he knew her if he had ever seen her again. He turned his head and coughed, it was cold and probably it was bothering him. He wasn’t going to get sick, Landon hardly ever got sick. So it was okay. I think until I see you more often, it’s going to be arietta mystery girl, because I like that better than klutz or anything. So mystery girl, you said you’re used to those types of names? Well, you’re going to like this one until I get used to your name.[/b] Landon said with a smirk, which then formed into a smile. What was also weird, is that rambling was something Lando liked a lot. Probably because it meant they were nervous or the fact that someone they think is cute or handsome is in front of them. Lando was guessing it was either one; after all, he was pretty attractive… Just ask anyone….. Well, mostly ask Shayne and Andy. They were his two amigos and they were amazing. For the hell of fun, it was told that Andy and Lando had a bromance. They were best friends, and they act like five year olds when they are together, so it leads to a bromance. Let’s get it out there that Landon isn’t gay. He’s straight and digs girls. And Shayne, was his best super-duper best girlfriend, they’ve gone through hell and back with each other. So, ask them about lando being attractive, they will get you a stupid response, but they really do mean well to him. Oh, so you do have a name… Anna.. I like that name. This leads me to saying I might just want to call you Anna Banana now. That is, if I am allowed to. Because I think that might be slightly better than arietta mystery girl, but I still might call you that.[/b] Landon said with a grin on his face, letting his dimples appear out. Whenever he did smile, his dimples showed. It’s what got all the girls to like him. He didn’t understand why they did, I mean, it’s just dimples. But whatever, he would let them like whatever the hell they wanted. He gave her a look now, a movie junky? That’s probably his most favorite thing to hear. Well, there was a lot, so this was probably one of them. You’re a movie whore too? Well, I mean a movie junkie, I consider myself a movie whore because I have a lot of movies people never heard of and all those weird ones and kid ones… Yea.. I got a huge collection ranging from Casablanca all the way to Despicable Me.[/b] Landon said laughing. Yeah, he was telling the truth, his entertainment center at his house has movies in the cupboards, on the racks beside the center, down stairs and his room. He had a ton. Landon removed his hands and shoved them into his pockets. He bit his lip, realizing she said country girl. She really from the country? Well, let’s not be stupid, each state has a country side in it, but he didn’t know where she specifically meant. What state? I mean, it’s rare you find country around these states, but you’re new and all. So what state are you from that has country? I mean, I’m not trying to ramble, I’m just really curious.[/b] Landon explaining a bit with a tiny hint of curiosity. Well, like they always say, Curiosity kills the cat… or something like that. status: finished tagged: annaa words: 926 notes: this isnt really good, but it will get better. promise credit: Template: Me[/size][/blockquote]
