Their honeymoon had been wonderful, spent with lots of time in the sand, water, and the bedroom. So there was absolutely no denying what was going on between the two of them. It did not take much for either of them to become aroused, and a lot of their honeymoon had been spent between the sheets. Kaler had warned her that once she got a taste she was not going to want to stop. The brunette had been worried about everything that happened for no reason, but now she was home. Randi was becoming accustomed to all of her wifely duties and getting back into the swing of her college classes. The professors had been amazing to her and letting her make the work up whenever she got back, and she really appreciated it. Because every weekend since the couple had been back, was spent renovating their little shack. It was not anything special, at least not yet, but it was getting character. The couple had been sure to pick something out that they were going to want to live and start their little life together.
Renovating was so much fun for Randi because she was designing everything. He was getting the ideas of what she wanted in her head, but she was also there getting dirty along with Jared every day. They did a little bit each evening whenever she was done with homework, and whenever Jared was hot completely drained from working. So it was a work in progress, but it was all theirs. No one else was there except the two of them. It was something special, but it had been almost a month since the couple had been married. Their trip to the Caribbean had been wonderful and took two weeks out of every day life for them to let loos and live. She was appreciative of that, because who would have gotten to do that? She was so shocked that she had not realized the subtle changes that her body was making. Over the past month Randi had started eating a lot more than she normally did, and just seemed so tired. It was beginning to get hard to wake herself up in the morning. She figured it was because she was up late every night studying, but there was a big kicker to her that had finally started making her worried. Randi was late, and not in the good kind of late. Her period was no where to be found, and she had no reason to be late. She was beginning to worry, and it had caused a very worried phone call between herself and Charlie Grey. Miranda had called her crying her eyes out, and she had noticed the mood swings that were going on with her and little things. For some reason she would go from being completely happy to just sad or angry for no reason. Something about class would just put her in a mood, or Jared would be late getting home. Little things, but she had never expected to be going to the drugstore for a pregnancy test. Let alone by herself, and she was really just scared. There was absolutely no way that she could have been pregnant, but she bought the test anyway.
The brunette had sat at home that afternoon, not bothering to go to her classes sulking. She had set the test in the bathroom and was waiting for Jared. She needed to talk to him, and figure out what she was going to do. There was the very real possibility that Randi was going to have to take some time off from school. She sat on the couch that they had recently purchased, with her head in her hands. That was when the door unlocked and she raised her head enough to see that Jared was finally home from work. She could not hide the panic that was written all over her face, and she waited for Jared to come and sit by her. “We need to talk.” Those words did not sound good coming from the newlywed’s lips, and they felt wrong. Yet they were the only ones that could express the terror that was coursing through her body as she thought about the very real possibility that she was indeed pregnant.

Before Jared had even realized what he was doing, he was turning up the radio and bobbing his head along to the song, eyes on the road as he pulled out of the marina parking lot and started on his way home. He knew that if anyone heard him listening to this song that he would immediately be judged and people would laugh and make fun, but Jared really didn’t care. There was no one else in his Jeep, and people should just know that he was into this kind of thing. After all, he had Ke$ha on his iPod; there was no shame in this. So, down the highway he went, Rihanna’s S&M pulsing through the speakers and Jared actually getting into it, like he did with every other song that he liked and knew some words to. This was just another typical day for him, going to work, doing the same thing every day as a mechanic. It got to be rather routine and dull, but with Kade and Hunter around, well, the three of them could always find something to do. Jared had enjoyed his vacation, not missing his job as a boat mechanic at all during his two week honeymoon in the Caribbean with his beautiful new wife. He certainly hadn’t missed the bitter cold, either, but there was no doubting that Jared was glad to be back in their little hometown and getting a real start on married life with Randi.
Upon coming back to Arietta, the two had moved into a tiny little house that had come into the possession for almost nothing at all. It was a little smaller than the house Jared and Kade had been sharing, and to say it needed fixing up was a complete understatement. But, that was really the beauty of it. Jared and Randi were making this a labor of love, turning the homely little place into an actual home with their own special touches. Jared had had to do some serious work on the pipes and had even put those high school electrician classes to use to correct a few wiring errors and hazards. They had torn up carpet in one room and replaced it, and were working on refurnishing the house, fitting new pieces where they could. It was slow going, as Jared’s income wasn’t all that high and Randi was a college student trying to focus on her classes, but neither of them expected all of this to just be handed to them right away. They were having fun with it, dreaming of what their home could be and taking the steps necessary to get it there some day. For now, it had heat, electricity and running water. That was really all that the newlywed couple could ask for. Jared was always excited to come home to it, knowing that it was his and Randi’s and knowing that she would be there with him; they were really doing this married thing pretty well right from the start. His awesome song didn’t last the entire ride home, but it had been good enough to get it stuck in his head and to put him a pretty good mood as he pulled the Jeep up into their driveway, parking beside of Randi’s car and stepping back out into the frigid cold.
He was thankful to finally get to their front door and let himself in, the warmth of the house so welcoming. He stopped his boots there on the mat before taking them off and then shrugging his heavy coat off and hanging it up on its hook. “Randi I’m home!” he called, grinning as he did. Looking around their house, she was easily spotted there on their new couch that sat among some of their boxes that they had yet to unpack. As soon as his eyes found her, Jared knew that something was up. The grin faded from his lips as he went to her, taking a seat beside of her. “We need to talk.” Wait…weren’t those the four most feared words in the human language when arranged together that way? Jared was instantly concerned, not knowing what had happened. He didn’t think that he had done anything…and looking around the house it seemed as though everything was okay there. “Okay… What’s up?” His tone clearly indicated that he was worried, and didn’t have any idea what to expect his wife to say in response to his question. It was obviously something that bothered her, though, and that most likely meant that whatever it was, Jared wasn’t going to like it.

this post is tagged for jared mitchell trent. it is dunzo and has eight hundred and thirty nine words. the one and only carolina liar contributed to this inspiration from the song show me what i'm looking for . randi is looking amazing in this outfit. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes little jandi babies! ______________________ There was one thing that Miranda had not planned on in the least, and she had never dreamed that it would happen to her. She had seen television shows where the first time the girl had sex she was pregnant. She knew it happened all the time, but she was married. Randi had done the steps perfectly, waited until she was happy, in love, and married. Now he was going through the worry that a twenty year old girl would have with a boy that she had randomly slept with at a party. This was so out of character to get this worked up over something like this, but that was another key that something was wrong with her. She never got like this, and her moods had been all over the place. She had so much work to catch up on with coming home from a two week hiatus with her husband, and their house was far from being a home. It was nice to know that every night she was going to be curled up to Jared and that things would be fine and safe. She knew that no matter what happened to her she was protected, and to have to tell him this was something that terrified her. Randi could just imagine the looks of their family if she had to tell them that they were pregnant. Expect a niece or nephew in the next nine months, and she could just imagine the looks that she would receive from classmates and friends. She was sulking in her home trying to look at book that she was supposed to be reading for class, but all of the words just made no sense.
Talking to Charlie had not made things any better either. The breathing did not help her, and this whole thing was going to get her down. Randi had really thought about going to bed and crying her eyes out. This could not be happening to her! She could not be pregnant, this was a freak accident if she was. God apparently hated her and wanted her to become a mess. There was something she had not expected whenever this happened. Sure, she had a little stress with moving out of Grams’ house but she was moving in with Jared and starting her life. So the house was a work in progress, but it was something that was just theirs. They had no one else around them to tell them what needed done and how to do it. Jared was Mr. Fix-it, fixing the electrical stuff and all that good stuff. Randi was really just there to do what he told her to do. She just wanted to be with him, stealing kisses while they worked on their home. It was going to take a while since she was not working, but that thought had crossed her mind. She could take a few semesters off from school and work full time. They could use the extra money, but it was something she had not talked to Jared about yet. She was just playing with the idea since the newlywed’s had little income to play with besides what Jared brought in. She was just sitting on the couch with her head in her hands when she heard the sound of tires on coming towards the house.
She waited trying to think of how to go and tell her husband that she could very well be pregnant and that there was a test waiting in their bathroom for her to go take. She was a scardy cat whenever it came to life changing things, and this one fit the bill. She was twenty years old, how was she supposed to do this? She heard the door open and her husband’s usual greeting telling her that he was home. She felt his eyes on her, and she knew he would be worried. It didn’t help that the first words out of her mouth were the worst four words in the human world when put together. Miranda also knew that Jared would think that it was his fault, and it wasn’t. Okay not totally his fault, but it was enough. It was enough to terrify the brunette to tears as she looked at him. She tried to speak, but it took her a couple of minutes to actually put words out of her mouth. “I’m late.” She could barely say anything else and it was hard to even get those two words out of her mouth. She turned and looked at him as tears started to roll down her cheeks whenever she finally put more words together. “I went to the drugstore and got a test, but I couldn’t take it without you. Jared I am scared.” She needed him to tell her that everything was going to be okay. She needed her husband to make this better, but all she could do was take the test and see what happened.

When Jared had left that morning, everything had seemed just fine. Randi had been up and getting ready as well, the two of them moving around each other in their small space. Jared had been digging around in boxes and in dresser drawers, Randi had been trying to make their bathroom set up more efficient because apparently that was something that was important to women and needed to be done yet again. Jared had just grinned at her and let her do her thing, knowing better than to try and help because he would only hinder his lovely wife in her process. Jared had never had to share a bathroom with a girl before, him and his brothers sharing one and Mykayla and Amy having their own when they had all been growing up, but he hadn’t imagined it would be all that different. But still, things had seemed perfectly fine. He had grabbed himself a pack of PopTarts for breakfast before heading out the door and getting on his way to work, not bothering to pack a lunch because Jared knew that he and his brothers would just grab something there at Rifter’s. And, well, that had just been it. He hadn’t heard anything from Randi during the day, and he had had no reason to suspect that things would be so different when he got home that evening.
But, there was obviously something wrong, and Jared was really concerned. Randi was usually a hyper, happy kind of girl and he couldn’t remember the last time that he had seen her so upset. It took a lot to get her to this point, and he couldn’t even imagine what could have happened in one day that had brought this on. He was almost afraid to hear Randi’s response to his questioning, but he couldn’t just not ask about it. There was something wrong with his pretty girl, and he was going to do whatever he had to try and fix it. Randi didn’t answer him at first, and Jared didn’t push. He knew that she would come around in her own time, and all he had to do was be patient, which Jared’s patience really had no end, so he would sit there with her for hours if that’s what it took. She did answer him eventually, though, and it was just two words. “I’m late.” At first, that didn’t make any sense to the young man at all, but it only took a couple seconds for him to comprehend what Randi was talking about. Jared’s eyes opened a little wider. When she turned and looked at him, Jared could clearly see the tears that she was crying, and it broke his heart. He was more concerned about that than anything, but listened as she told him about the test that she had bought at the drugstore. “Jared I am scared.” Oh, he had no doubt that she was scared, because this was a pretty scary kind of thing. Jared, however, didn’t think that he felt the kind of fear that she felt.
He put a soft smile on his lips as he reached up with both hands, gently cupping her gorgeous face and wiping those tears away. “It’ll be okay,” he told her, and it was what he felt in his heart. Most guys in his situation probably would have felt that jolt of fear and uncertainty, but he…didn’t. “We’ll go take this test, and we’ll see it what it says, but either way it’s going to be fine, Randi. I promise. Maybe not exactly what we planned, but we’ll figure it out, okay?” And really, there wasn’t any sense in worrying about anything until they saw what the test said. After they had the results, then they could worry about what they were going to do next, but Jared was surprisingly calm and okay with the idea of Randi being pregnant even if they were so young and had only been married for a month. Things happened in life that you had no say in, and this was going to be one of those things for them if she were indeed pregnant. They were just going to have to roll with it, whatever it was. Jared took Randi’s hand then, giving it a small, reassuring squeeze and letting her know that he was there, whenever she wanted to do this.

She could not find the right words to express everything that she was feeling. She hated this feeling; the thought of being completely hopeless terrified her more than anything. This feeling had long been put to rest, and the last time she had felt like this was when she was in Philly with her parents. Being abused she had no control, and since then the petite brunette had fought for control of her life every day. Being with Jared was the only thing that she did not have to fight. She knew that he was going to take care of her no matter what happened, but this was too much. It was just too much for her to take in. She was not supposed to be pregnant, she was supposed to be enjoying being married to her wonderful husband. They were supposed to be fixing up their house and be all kinds of adorable and all of the other cute newlywed stuff. She was not supposed to be sitting on her couch crying her eyes out, trying to find words to tell him how terrified she really was. Randi was really trying to be strong but muttering those words had not been part of the plan. They were supposed to have a life first, and for her to be out of school. That had been her plan, but apparently her plan meant shit to the rest of the world. Miranda Trent’s plans were no longer in effect as she sat on her couch telling Jared that she was scared.
Her eyes were red and puffy from crying so much, but she looked at him and tried to stop. The onslaught of tears had been going on too long for her. She knew that he would be able to make this better if there was a way to do it. That was when his hands were against her cheeks, and he was wiping away the remnants of her tears. She wanted to laugh at him for saying that everything was going to be okay, when it clearly was not going to be. However, if Jared was saying that it was going to be okay, then he really meant it. So she was going to have to accept that he thought that things were going to be okay, and that she had nothing to worry about. This was the reason that she loved him; he sat there so calm and with such grace that she would fall for him each and every time. Every day he gave her a reason to fall in love with him all over again, and right now was his moment. If she had not already been his wife, she would have been in that moment. Randi listened to him speak, and her eyes fell as she slowly nodded her head. “It definitely isn’t the plan, but as long as I have you then we can get through anything.” She tried to smile, because that was the truth. Randi could handle anything as long as she had Jared Trent at her side to help her through it all. “Well, we might as well get this over with.”
Randi pushed herself off the couch and grabbed his hand again. She squeezed it gently and pulled him up off the couch too. She may be the only one in the bathroom to take the test, but Jared would be right outside the door waiting to come in and hold her as they waited. She knew that it was better to find out now than to wait. She went into the bathroom and peed on the damn stick, and then set it on the sink. “You can come in now.” Were the words that she said through the door, and she instantly wrapped herself in his arms. She needed him to make this okay, to hold her and never let anything bad happen. She was terrified that the stick would read pregnant, and that her life would be tossed on its head. “I think waiting is the worst part, but I love you. No matter what, always and forever Jared.” She placed a gentle kiss on his lips before putting her head back against his chest waiting for the results that could possibly change her life forever.

Jared was definitely the kind of guy that took things in stride. He was very excitable, able to be hyper and bouncing off of the walls if he heard some kind of news that really pleased him, but it wasn’t like his whole world stopped spinning because of something that happened. He was such an easy going person, taking a lot to get under his skin or to make him outright worry, and he was able to adapt and chart a new course when things came up that took him away from his original plan. It was what had made him good at sports growing up, him able to deviate and not panic under pressure when plays had to get changed, or a different call was made than what he was expecting. Jared just didn’t get excited because really, there was nothing that he could do about any of it. You can’t change what’s happened; you can only deal with it and keep on moving. That was his outlook on life, and it had seemed to serve him well so far. It was what gave him the ability to stay cool here and not go into instant panic mode when Randi dropped the news that she very well may be pregnant. He knew that it was nowhere in their immediate plan, and that if this was a real thing that it was going to alter a lot of the ideas they had had for themselves, but they were just going to have to figure it out and Jared had said as much. He didn’t want her to be scared, and he absolutely hated to see her cry, but they could do this together. Of that, he had no doubt.
Randi seemed reassured, and then she was pushing herself up off of the couch and taking Jared’s hand in hers once again. He stood as well, and followed her back through their small house to the bathroom where he waited outside. He leaned back against the hallway wall, letting a long breath out. This really was not what either of them had expected, and honestly, Jared didn’t know how she was pregnant if she really was. It wasn’t like they had been careless, and he had always been a very careful kind of guy when it came to using protection. It didn’t make sense; Jared had never had a pregnancy scare with any of the other women that he had slept with. Of course it would happen with Randi, though, but in all honesty if Jared was going to go through this, and if he was going to get someone pregnant, he would want it to be Randi. Of course now, because she was his wife, but even before they were married, he would have felt the same way. She had been the only girl that had meant anything to him for a long time, and if he had to have that kind of connection with someone then he would hope and pray it was Randi instead of someone else that he might grow to dislike, and wonder why in the hell he had ever been with them in the beginning. “You can come in now.” Jared was opening and through the door that instant, knowing that she would be there wanting to be taken up in his arms. He held her close to him, wanting Randi to feel safe right there in his arms. He heard he words, and felt that soft kiss on his lips. “I love you too, Randi. Always and forever,” he replied softly, knowing it was something that she needed to hear even though she already knew it was true.
The time was up for that pregnancy test pretty quickly, and Jared pulled away from Randi, both of them avoiding looking at the sink where the test was there, almost like it was mocking them. He thought she would immediately reach for it, but Jared realized that she didn’t want to know, and was maybe even that afraid of what it might say. He kissed her on the forehead before turning and looking down where she had laid the test, his eyes looking at the little read out. He could feel his heart beating faster, a small smile twitching up the corners of his lips. “Well, if this test here is to be believed…” He turned around, looking at her and hoping to God that she was okay with this. “It says we’re going to have a baby.” A full smile not touched his lips as he looked at her, seeing her fear and just wishing he could take it all away. “I promise you everything is going to be okay. We will make this work, and you know I’m going to be right here with you through it all. It’s a surprise, for sure, but I can’t say that I’m not happy about it, because I am.” He reached out and took her in his arms again, that smile having yet to leave his lips. They had went from boyfriend and girlfriend, to engaged, to married, and not to parents-to-be all in the course of maybe three months, but that was okay. Jared new it was so much so fast, but he loved Randi, and he loved the idea of having a family with her.

She was completely terrified trying to figure out what to do if this test read the word that she was expecting. She stood there wrapped in her husband’s arms where the entire world seemed to disappear. Nothing could hurt her whenever she was in his strong arms, but this was not like her. Randi was not the girl that got worked up about anything. She was normally so carefree and just went with the punches. The two of them had been incredibly good with that up until this moment. Whenever she realized what could be happening, she was a deer in headlights. She had no idea what to do whenever Jared had walked into their home. This altered all of their plans that they had, but what was she going to do about school? She could not bring a baby into this world when she knew that she would not be able to provide for it. Miranda was going to have to decide what to do and figure it out with Jared, there was just so much to talk about if that stick said positive. Too many options that they were going to have to discuss, and she knew that her husband was going to be there to make everything better.
He had wrapped her up and she waited. She had known that this was what a lot of girls had gone through with their significant others, but they were married. Their lives were just starting, and it had been a whirlwind romance. She loved every second of their lives together, and she was thankful to know that she would be having a baby with the only person that mattered in her life. If it had been anyone else this panic would be completely manic and off the wall, but as she was being held it was almost like a wave of calm was coming over her. Yes the panic was still there and she was still terrified of how her life was going to change, but for it to change with Jared was something that she was okay with. She needed to know that he was going to love her no matter what happened, even if she was completely mesmerized by how it happened. He had said he was careful, and she trusted him. There was no reason for her to expect this to happen, but she could not fight the feeling that her body was telling her. Her lips met his, and then his words seemed to completely calm her. The panic was free from her body, but she was still unsettled. This test was taking forever, but she still did not want to know. That was whenever she noticed that Jared was moving in her arms. She knew that the test was done, and now was the moment of truth.
The brunette was hiding behind her husband as he looked. Of course he wanted to know what the test said, but she didn’t. Why couldn’t her life just stay stable for any length of time? She felt his lips on her forehead, and knew that he would be the one to say exactly what the test said. A smile began to form on his lips and he didn’t even need to speak. She knew that the test said that she was pregnant, because unlike her Jared was giddy. She would be okay with whatever the test said, but she would not have been upset if it was negative. Instead she was standing there completely awestruck as she watched the smile grow on his lips. Her head dropped towards her belly, and all that could be heard was a simple question. “I’m pregnant?” She looked back up at him as he was talking, but she was barely paying attention. She wanted to sit down and process what was going on with her. His arms wrapped around her again, and he just talked. He was happy, and she could not blame him for being happy. Their little family of two was growing to three. She was able to bring her hazel eyes up to his bright blue ones and tried to put a smile on her lips. “How can you promise that things will be okay? There is so much to think about. I know you will be right by my side, you always are. I know you are excited; I am too, but I am just worried.” She wiggled out of his arms and turned to go to her bed. She wanted to sit down and start to process what was going to happen with their lives. She sat on the foot of their bed and just stared, she was trying to be happy for his sake, but this was going to change everything. “What are we going to do now Jared? What about school, I should probably get a job. There is just so much to think about.” Her eyes were teary, but she just could not snap out of being sad. It was one of her moods, and she hoped and prayed that Jared did not take it that she did not want to have a family with him. That was the farthest thought from her mind, she just wanted to make sure that their family had a good life, and that was why she was scared. Not because she was pregnant, but because she felt she was ill prepared and terrified that she would be a horrible parent like her own were to her.

So this clearly wasn’t supposed to happen like this. Jared had had his own little daydreams about how his and Randi’s life would play out, and had envisioned for himself what things would be like in the future for them. They would of course put all the love they had into this little house and make it their very own, being completely content and happy with it as the years rolled by. Randi would graduate from college, and then maybe they could start looking for bigger houses because then would be the time that they would start thinking about having their own children. Of course their kids would grow and play and be happy here in the small coastal town and Jared and Randi both loved so much, and there would be nothing but happiness abounding for the couple and their young family. That was the ideal picture, the picture that Jared was sure every man had in his mind when he married the love of his life and started dreaming of what they would share in the years to come. There were certain ideas on how the timeline should work, and ideal times for when things should happen, but life didn’t always follow that cookie-cutter image. Hell, it rarely followed it at all, and sometimes things just happened. Jared knew that having a baby right now was a big deal because they were barely getting settled, but he was really very joyful in this news. He hadn’t imagined himself being a father for a few years to come, but he honestly believed that it was going to be okay.
Randi, however, was clearly freaking out about this. Jared had expressed that he was happy, and that he was certain that things were going to be okay. She seemed to require more convincing, and was so worried about this already. Jared could hear it in her voice, feel the tension in her body as he held her. She pushed away from him, though, heading for their bedroom. A short sigh passed through Jared’s lips, him once again glancing over at the tale-tell pregnancy test before he turned and followed after Randi. She was sitting at the foot of their bed, tears stinging at her eyes once again and looking like the whole world had just shifted on her. Which, it kind of did, and Jared was probably annoying her to death with how well he was taking this and she was obviously already worrying and trying to figure it out all at once. He sat down beside of her, listening as she spoke and reaching over to take her hand up in his. “I’m not going to lie; there are a lot of things that are going to be different, and some things that we’re going to have to worry about and figure out from here, Randi. But, you want to know the cool thing about it?” He waited until she turned those gorgeous dark brown eyes of hers on him, a soft smile gracing his lips. “You don’t have to do it all by yourself. I’m going to help us figure it out, and we’re going to have a perfect little family no matter what I have to do to make it that way. Got it?” Jared was no stranger to that kind of idea. His parents had had a hard time making ends meet when he and his siblings had been growing up, but that hadn’t meant that they didn’t have a good life. Things were hard sometimes, but they had made it just fine, Jared and the rest of the kids never realizing they had gone without because they had been so well loved. “And I’m going to love every second of it. Don’t worry, pretty girl. We can do this.” He had all the confidence in the world in them, and he leaned over and pressed a sweet kiss to her cheek.

this post is tagged for jared mitchell trent. it is dunzo and has six hundred and ninety eight words. the one and only taylor swift contributed to this inspiration from the song long live . randi is looking amazing in this outfit. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes little jandi babies! ______________________ Their plans had been completely tossed on their head, and Randi was not normally the kind of girl that planned everything out. She was just like Jared and rolled with the punches, but it was not just her life that was going to change drastically. It was all of theirs, Jared, Randi, and their little baby that was growing inside her as they spoke. It would certainly explain a lot about what had been going on with her body. She was eating almost as much as Jared, which was never normal for the overly petite girl. She was the girl that could get away without eating all day, just because she was not hungry. Now, she was easting all the time, whether it was actual food or just munchie stuff. She was at least trying to wake up before Jared had to be at work to make breakfast for the both of them, just because of how much she was eating. It would also explain the drastic mood swings and all of the other things that happened with a pregnant girl. She was always tired, and would come home from her afternoon classes just to take a nap. Everything was changing for her, but it was hard for her. She knew that Jared would be right by her side Holding her hand through all the scary things, but this was something that she just did not know how to deal with. She sat there on their bed crying like an idiot, unaware of what she was doing. She could not help how she was reacting, but this was how she felt. Their lives had just begun and then they were adding a little baby onto it.
She knew that Jared was perfectly okay with everything that was going on, but her entire body was rigid. Randi was a big ball of hormonal mess; she could feel the bed move whenever he sat down beside her. Her husband was excited as all hell and he was adorable, and she wished that her eyes were dancing with the excitement that his were. He was so happy, and her mind was just trying to process everything at once. It was probably the worst way to do it, but her eyes were locked on his as he started speaking. He always knew how to calm her down, even if that was the last thing that she wanted. He had grabbed her hand, and she laced her fingers with his. She listened trying to calm herself down as he spoke, but it was shying on impossible. His words touched her and it calmed her enough for her to breath and start speaking in complete sentences. “I know I’m not alone, but this is just so much. We are just starting our lives, how could this have happened? And our family is always perfect, it just isn’t what we planned at all. I don’t know what to do about school, because we won’t have the money to put me through school and raise the baby. But we are doing this together, it is going to be tough, and I am completely scared out of my mind. Though I am excited that it is you that I get to have a family with.” She let a genuine smile cross her lips, and yes she was terrified but she wanted a family. This was their life. He made it perfectly clear that he was going to be there for her and help her. This was their family, and she let her forehead lean against his. “I know Husband. We can do anything that the two of us put our minds too. What are we going to do about telling our families?” That was a thought that she had not thought about. She had not wanted her parents involved in her life, but it almost felt wrong not to tell them that she was married and expecting a child. Their grandchild, but this was something they were going to have to decide on what to do. That was a bridge to cross after they told his family and Grams.
