The night was young, the sun had just gone down and the city lights were just blaring on. It was no time to be lazing around the house, but a great time to be outside enjoying the last bits of frigid weather. The winter was just beginning though, and snow had graced everyone. The air was chill, jackets were being busted out from the closets, and the heat was going on in homes. Then again, tonight was the perfect night to be curled up in blankets, in a warm house within a warm bed. With a sigh, a female figure rolled over in her comfortable bed, pushing the blankets over her face in frustration. This was where she wanted to be tonight, she didn't really care for the slightly busy city outside of her window. If it was any other day, she'd stay inside and just stay like this for the night, but she actually had somewhere to be. Surprisingly, this Spanish girl had.. what some would call a friendly meeting, though she called it a date in her head. To the other, it was just going to be two friends saying home and watching some movies, a harmless factor, only she would know that there were other intentions. Okay, so she didn't think this whole night through, maybe it would just be two friends saying in, much to her dismay. Romance was never her forte, and she wouldn't be putting any of those skills into action.
Rockie, or Raquel rather was one of those returning girls to the city of Arietta, though she was used to city life, friends weren't common for her. She hailed from Barcelona, dark-skinned girl with an attitude that would surely knock your socks off. In the past she had been told that she was a bitch, why give up something like that and ruin a perfectly good reputation. She was all about popularity though, probably why she joined the cheer leading team right away back in her day, not just for the hell of it. Cheer was something that was big for her, she used to do it competitively and now figured that if Arietta didn't have a good competitive team, she'd just go back to teaching dance. She had met the girl that she was going to the movies with tonight back in high school, an actual friend for Raquel, surprising. Scarlett was a nice girl from what she knew about her, fun to be around and interesting at that, not to mention she was pretty hot. Rockie never went about sprouting her sexuality anywhere, she didn't boast about being straight, because truthfully she knew she wasn't. She had been attracted to women before, those of which she hooked up with drunk or even had sex with drunk. So, she wasn't really going to say much about that. She was going to leave it at the fact that Scarlett was a nice girl, most likely straight and probably just wanting to be friends. Even if she wanted more, and had ran after the girl for years, they were stuck in this... sad reoccurring friendship.
Racking her head with these thoughts, she just had enough of all of them, the reason she sat up in her bed and looked around. Clothes, that was the first step to getting ready, as well as texting the other female. "Hey Hun, I really hope you don't mind us ordering take out, since poisoning you is not on my agenda. See you soon. xoxox R." was what the text read, as she let the other female know that cooking was clearly not her forte either. Getting up from her seat, she pushed herself to stand fully and grab some clothes. Looking down at her body, she just shrugged, due to the fact that... she wasn't as good looking as she boasted about. Rockie was confident with her looks, she showed off her skinny small figure, but she never looked good enough to herself. It was one of those pet peeves, she knew she would never look like some of the girls that pranced around here, and she would give up trying. Running laps daily, working out, dancing, they all made her rather tough, in the muscle department anyway. But, she had other passions to go after, like singing for one, she had given that up to focus more on cheer, maybe it was about time she showed that talent off. Getting distracted by her thoughts again, she threw some clothes on, casual was easier and seemed more appropriate. She remembered Shayne advice though, going with the long shirt and jeans, that was the best idea.
After dressing, letting her hair down and all of that jazz, Rockie seemed like she was ready to go. After a bit of applying of make up, she looked in the mirror one last time, feeling weird that she was keeping her hair down for this. Normally it was up, she figured it gave her more of a profile, but something like this deserved some attention. Slipping on a pair of flats, she grabbed her phone, only to stuff it into her pocket. She looked ready it seemed, but her heart raced, that's all she could hear in her ears, the thumping of her heart. She looked around the room a bit, knowing that she had this unfamiliar feeling about this place. It wasn't hers, it was Shayne's, her best friend and confidant. Like stated before, Rockie wasn't really into making many friends, but the ones she did make, were one that kept up with her. Her eyes were drawn to the clock again, then back to her phone to check the time. Why was she this nervous? She couldn't put her finger on it, but she figured, seeing Scarlett again after a year, she most likely changed a lot. Or, her other thought was just the fact that maybe... Scarlett wasn't going to show up after all. Rockie taught the girl the ropes of cheer, taught her how to be supreme bitch, and truthfully took her under her wing for a while. Thus, they were really close back then, and she slept with the girl more than once on drunk occasions. She stood from her seat, looking out the window and to the sidewalk. Her dark eyes scanned around a bit, not seeing the lovely blonde just yet. Leaning against the chair behind her, she did her best to look suave and cool, as if waiting for her gorgeous date to show up. Tonight was going to be worth while, as well as exciting, Raquel would make sure of that.

A gust of wind roared passed the window, it was a sign that th winter season was approaching. The frost on the grass, the little snow fall on top of the trees. It was a time to be outside enjoying this weather, before it got any worse. Tonight the blonde hair Scarlett had other plans, rather than going out and partying which would be more like her, she was going to see her good ol' friend Rockie. Honestly, she wanted to stay in doors, usually she would prefer a night out, but not tonight. Scarlett wanted to see Rockie, the excitement that ran through her body wasn't something she could easily explain. Different scenarios about how the night would play out ran through her head a million of times, each time in a different way than the first. Scarlett was very easy going and this wasn't usual for her, playing out scenarios or even thinking about what was to come next, but her feelings were somehow changing, nervous probably wasn't the word to describe it. Anxious, maybe to see her pretty friend that she hadn't in so long, she just couldn't wait to be with her.
Scarlett was a loud girl, she was always known to be the sweetheart of the group that liked having fun. With her blonde hair that she usually wore down her back, she always seemed to attract different groups of boys. Sometimes the right ones and sometimes the wrong, but it was usually always a boy, her sexuality never questioned by anyone. Scarlett remembered doing cheer with Rockie back in the days though Rockie had always been more into it than she had herself, she hadn't cheered in over a year and she missed it more than she would have assumed herself to. They both met in high-school although Rockie had already graduated and they didn't talk as much. It was her last year and she was more than excited to get it over and done with, nothing had been the same as it was when her and Rockie were close, she hadn't thought about it much just because it hurt, she had a terrible case of nostalgia. Scarlett and Rockie had been through a lot threw their years and were known to be inseparable. She didn't know Rockie's availability and something in her wondered whether she was dating or not but decided not to ask. She was familiar with Rockie's past but never even thought to bring it up nor have any discussion about it.
Scarlett stopped mid thought pulling out her phone, smiling as she read Rockie's text about the plan on ordering take out. "Chinese?" she texted back before sliding her phone on her dresser. It was time for her to get dressed and she had no idea what to wear. Scarlett had been complimented on her style many times and as much as that made her happy, she knew deep down inside clothes were one of the hardest things for her, she always wanted the latest and nicest things but in her eyes she never seemed to have them. She scanned her closet and stopped spying the perfect purple button up top that she knew would go lovely with a pair of her dark denim skinny jeans. She put on the top letting her blonde locks fall on her shoulder, and grabbed her skinnys hopping up into them to get them on. She contemplated on putting on a pair of heels, but decided not to be to formal for a night in, although she somehow wanted to. She slipped on a pair of black flats leaving her hair as it was. Her skinnies showed off her curves nicely, as the top complimented her skin complexion. She had always been very active and conscious about her weight, not at first being able to accept her curvy body but had soon learned to embrace it, over the last few years she had been more than happy with her body, but also more scared to lose her curves that she liked so much. That was the thing about Scarlett, she was a beautiful girl, but always insecure, she was her own worst enemy but very seldom did she let that show, hiding behind her big smile. Over the last year that smile had began to fade and fade, you can only hide behind it for so long and Scarlett's time had come, she was at a breaking point in her life, and she hated feeling weak, to the point she would admit her insecurities to others. She had ran away, I guess is the only way you could put it, to try to gather herself, and fix whatever was wrong with her, something must be wrong with her. The only thing that was wrong with her was how hard she was on herself, and she came home to shove all of that to the side and hanging out with Rockie was the perfect way to get on her road back to happiness, she stared at herself in the mirror putting on a smile and nodding her head as she remembered her moms words. "A smile is the perfect part to the perfect outfit."
She left her house locking the door swiftly behind her, as she dashed to her car, slamming the door harder than she planned. She was all of a sudden feeling empty again, and confused about going to see Rockie, and maybe the real reason why she was so excited to see her. She pushed her thoughts aside as she started up her car and made her way to Shayne's house, her thoughts distracting her the whole way there. Take out and a movie, that's all it is. With two friends that have a lot of catching up to do, she said trying to convince herself. Everything was coming back to her about the past her and Rockie had once had, but she tried to forget about it because she noticed ever since Rockie left her life thats the time when things started to take a spin for the worst and she didn't want to admit that to herself, it was going to be a new beginning with Rockie, she wondered if Rockie even remembered about everything that had happen when the two were like two peas in a pod, but time for thinking was over. She pulled up in the driveway, letting herself out of her car and walking to the door. Taking a deep breath in before knocking, not knowing what to do with the time between the knock and whenever Rockie would up.

To be truthful, the first thing that Raquel had been attracted to about Scarlett was her body. The lean figure, and the wonderful curves, though she didn't have the biggest chest, she made up for it in the backside. Okay, she'd be one hundred percent truthful about that whole thing, Rockie always went by looks first. It's how she determined who to speak to, and who not to. She was conceded, and she knew that, but hey, it wasn't always to get the person in bed, just most of the time, and she didn't always succeed. She had a high sense of pride, she figured Scarlett knew that by now, and she wondered how long it would take for Scarlet to just get fed up with her. Most of her friends did by now, well she had Lexie, who ha all the patience in the world for her attitude, a few others as well. She wanted to give this night a chance though, do her best to remain nice, not make any hurtful comments and maybe see if she can sneak in a kiss or two. At one time, the two of them had been closer than ever, she'd seen the other undress many of times, as well as the other way around. Though she never gave out her sexuality, she thought it would be obvious by now the way she hit on Scarlett without a care in the world. But, she kept up an appearance with men, conning them into sex just to make sure she wasn't pointed at for being a lesbian in high school. She knew that she allowed herself to hit on Scar when she was drunk, a lot of the time she remembered nothing, she did remember one night with the girl, but whose to says he wasn't just picturing it.
Hearing her phone vibrate on her bed stand, she walked over to look at it, noticing the text from Scarlett. She had to think for a moment, did she want chinese? Well, it sounded fine to her and it did mean that neither of them had to cook, so that was the better plus. She went to text back, writing one saying, "yeah sure, that sounds great, i'll order it when you get here, see you soon." And with that, she put down her phone once more, staring in the mirror and becoming a bit worried about this whole thing. She'd known the girl for so long, Rockie coached cheer after she left high school, and the first thing she noticed was that she had potential. The blonde reminded her of herself and so she went after her and did her best to woo her, making sure to make the girl head cheerleader before she completed her task. They stuck together, almost all the time, no matter where Rockie would go, she'd bring her little mini-me with her. It was nice having a lackey, instead of being one. That's why it confused her so much when Scarlett ran, causing Rockie to retreat into herself and become someone not so confident anymore. Scarlett was her wall, she held up Rockie's caring and nice side, though most just figured it wasn't existing and gave up. Cheerleading had been something they just bonded in, she had no idea if the girl still kept up with it, but Rockie was competitive cheerleading now. Oh god, what if they had nothing to talk about, the brunette didn't even think of that. There had to be something, and she was really wondering as to why Scarlett ran like she did. New beginnings were fantastic and all, but she wanted her old Scar back, the one she fell for and the one she couldn't see herself without.
Her heart started thumping louder, and louder and it felt like it stopped right when the knock on the door came. "I can't do this... I just... I can't." Rockie had never been a quitter, but this time it was overwhelming her with fear. This was not a normal emotion for her, since long ago... she blocked out these emotions with her rough exterior. She took a deep shaky breath, placing her hand on the door knob and closing her eyes. This was it... seeing Scarlett again and doing her best to not jump her bones right then and there. Opening her dark eyes back up again, she opened the door, her breath caught in her throat instantly as she saw the female. Great, good job Rockie, now she just looked stupid. "...H-Hi." She said shaky, though quickly cleared her throat and got her normal exterior back on. The 'I don't care' look, and the cross of her arms, while leaning in the doorway. "Robinson, how nice of you to join me on this lovely evening." She was like a different person, and at times, she felt like she was bi polar. The whole being able to switch personalities, she was not about to let it happen again. Before she was going to allow the female to enter, she lunged forward and wrapped her up in a hug. She breathed in the familiar scent of Scarlett, and sighed in delight. Okay, so maybe this was just a little slip up, she just needed this and she'd be done. Though that was a lie, she'd try. She pulled away and stepped to the side to allow the girl in, looking away from the blonde. "...anyway, how was your little trip? Never did ask you." Back against the door frame as she waited for the female to accept her invite inside, though still avoiding eye contact with her. Those beautiful eyes made Raquel weak in the knees, and she was not going to slip up again, yet. Oh god, this night was not going to be a rep boost for her.
