Randi and Jared Trent were the happiest people in the world since they got engaged on New Year’s. Ever since that day Shayne had envied that so much, because what bothered her was that she had to work tooth and nail to get that kind of happiness. Everything after what happened with Jack had left her broken, and that was whenever she started looking for love in all the wrong places. That is what had ended her up in Kaler Scott’s bed, and running around the hospital with bruises on her neck. What in the hell had possessed her to get involved with someone that could give a flying fuck less about her was beyond her. That was when she remembered the idea of who he had been, and the fact that he had made her believe that he actually cared about her. He was all kinds of cute and funny and just that guy that she wanted to be around. She should have known better, and if Jack had been around she would have never ended up where she was. Kaler would have never existed, and he would not have almost ruined a friendship that had been there for years!
Vidette Garland and Shayne Brennan were the very best friends in the world, and that was what upset her the most about the entire situation. Kaler had no regards for loyalty, friendship, and just trust. He had broken her of the idea of love, and then he had almost ruined the life that Shayne and Viddy had spent years building. One man could almost crush everything, and the sheer fact that he had no concern for how she felt was another thing that bothered her. After pining away for her best friend and knowing that she was currently dating one of his best friends, well you would think he would have apologized for almost killing her. No that had taken months for the man to work up the courage to even try. The kicker for that was that he couldn’t even try and call from his own phone. The last thing that the brunette had expected whenever she had picked up the phone almost a week ago was that Kaler’s voice would be haunting her ears. She was so livid that she had called Jem freaking out in her pathetic worked up voice. Everyone knew that she thought he was Satan himself in human form, and no one could honestly tell her that they did not know what was going on. Kaler could try and say that he had no idea that he was crushing her throat when he had grabbed her that night.
That night behind the bar had been ages ago though, months and the bruises had healed and the hurt feelings between the two girls had all disappeared. That was until the nurse found out that her best friend had indeed fallen for the asshole that nearly ripped them apart. Shayne would not tolerate any Kaler talk whenever the two girls got together, so she had no idea how the wedding was going to go. She sat next to the man who had picked up all the broken pieces of her heart from all the different men in her life. Jack had been the biggest to get over, and then Kaler made her completely hate men in general. She wanted nothing to do with them until Jem came into her life. He was the sweetest most romantic guy who could have possibly been the absolute best thing to happen to her. He held her hand and said that he loved her. This was what she wanted, and everything up until him had been work. Jem was as easy as breathing, and she was happy for once in her life. Well as happy as she could be because she really just wanted to tell her best friend that she was a fucking moron for dating Satan again. Randi and Jared’s ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, and she could not have been happier that they had finally seen the light. They were perfect, and that was all that anyone could ever ask or hope for. To find the one person that completed you more than you could have ever imagined, she smiled and danced around like an idiot at the reception along with everyone else.
That was until she had made her way to the liquor. She had done a few shots with Vidette and naturally the tequila duo was in action. Maybe Shayne had drank a little bit more than she probably should have. She was even less pleased whenever she was slightly pushed, now if she was sober she would have just laughed it off and continued on her way. That was until the alcohol that had been in the other person’s hand ended up on her white dress. She was livid and above all else, that person had to be Kaler fucking Scott. Her dark eyes burned with intensity; she stared him down before flying off the handle. “You have got to be fucking kidding me! You can’t go around spilling your fucking drinks on people, let along on me. What happened to avoiding me, Satan?” She was pissed and it was taking everything in the slightly tipsy brunette’s power to keep her tiny balled up fist from connecting with his face again. This was not going to end well, and she knew that already.

There were really some moments in that party when a person felt like they were walking on a tightrope. One wrong move, one glance in the wrong direction, and you were completely done for and falling to your demise. Then there were moments when missing a step wasn’t the least of your worries; you had to watch for others that were ready to cut that delicate rope and watch you as you went crashing down. Kaler grinned to himself. That was a damn good analogy; he knew that he had gone to Yale for a degree in literature for something. But in all honesty, that was what this party was. Kaler, Jared, and Kade had gone to the trouble to make sure that this was going to be one hell of a party, and so far everyone was out enjoying themselves and drinking like there would be no tomorrow. Unfortunately, there would be a tomorrow and they were all going to regret drinking the large amounts of alcohol that they were, but that was tomorrow’s problem. Today had enough issues of its own, and Kaler Scott knew that he was at the center of a lot of the tension and drama that could unfold at any moment. He was careful to keep himself out of the way when certain people showed up in the crowd, and he found excuses to leave his girlfriend’s side when he saw her best friend emerge from another group of people. It was rare that Kaler did anything to try and appease anyone else, but today was Jared and Randi’s day, and he was going to try not to cause any trouble.
“Try” was undoubtedly the key word in all of that, but Jared and Randi were his best friends. They were also two of the greatest people on the face of the planet and they deserved to have this day be everything that they wanted it to be and more. It needed to be god damn perfect for them, but Kaler knew that they weren’t so naïve as to think that nothing bad was going to go down here tonight. When you put this many people that have issues with each other in one room, well, things get a little hard to handle and someone was bound to snap. Kaler had just been out on the dance floor with Brittany Hale, commending her on a job well done for not having killed Kade yet, and for going easy on Hunter. She had shot him a look, but then they had both been grinning and dancing, talking like the good friends that they were. Next up to push him around the dance floor had been Mykayla Trent, the girl looking positively radiant as a flower girl and Kaler never able to quite get over how the blood rushed to the young woman’s cheeks as she was complimented. He didn’t understand how a girl so beautiful didn’t realize it, but that was all a part of Kay’s charm that won so many over. Once their dance was over, though, the younger girl seemed to go pale on him, and while she insisted that she was okay, Kaler didn’t leave her side, wrapping one arm under her arms and helping her to a seat at an empty table. She had seemed so weak, which worried him but she said she just needed something to drink and she’d be good as new.
That was all Kaler needed to hear before he was headed for the table where all the drinks were. It was mostly filled with liquor bottle after liquor bottle, all kinds of variety there for the guests to choose from along with sodas and ginger to be mixed with whatever they wanted to mix. But, Kaler had helped set up all of this, so he knew that there was a water cooler there to the side, and nifty little plastic cups for it. That was what he picked up once he got there, and then he filled the cup almost to the rim with water from the cooler before turning around quickly, heading for Mykayla when he unexpectedly bumped into someone else. The water that he had just gotten went all over the pretty dress this woman was wearing, and Kaler looked up into her face to make some serious apologies, but the words all died on his tongue the moment he realized just who it was that he had run into. Shit. This was one of those things that he had desperately been trying to avoid all evening, and now he had one hell of a fucking mess on his hands. All because he had been trying to do a good deed too…ironic. Kaler had tried to make his amends with Shayne Brennan, but she hadn’t heard a fucking word that he had said to her that day on the phone. She didn’t seem to understand why he had gone about it the way that he had, or give him any kind of credit for trying to make things right. But, that was her problem now, not his. His problem was that he had just spilled water on her and she was throwing a fit. “Easy, princess. It’s just water. You’ll dry.” And it wasn’t like he had done all that much damage…maybe. “And believe me, I was definitely trying to avoid you. You just so happened to be there when I turned around, and next thing you know here we are. I’m sorry about your dress, though.” Like she would believe that, and Kaler didn’t fully understand why he was trying to talk to her like a normal person right now, but he was trying. Again, “trying” being the key word.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott . it is dunzo and has one thousand one hundred and four words. the one and only three days grace contributed to this inspiration from the song i hate everything about you . this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes go fuck yourself kaler ______________________ There were a few things about this night that had gone well, she had gotten to see that there was such a thing as a happy ending. Jared and Randi Trent were finally together after what was said to be years, and she had witnessed it for the past four years. Shayne had the hard idea of trying to find that kind of love, and the only person that had made that impression that this was going to last was James Alexander Hale. He had captured her heart and was thankful that he had found the nurse with green scrubs and a ponytail as someone worthy of him. In all honesty, she did not feel like she deserved him, and that was because she was so beautifully broken. Never had something happened in her love life that mattered, because everyone always managed to break her heart. She had been raped, her boyfriend died in combat, she had almost been killed, and she just did not know how to not get attached. Something about the men in her life had never seemed right. Shayne always managed to pick the wrong men, and never had she managed to pick one worse than Kaler Scott.
The man had terrified her into believing that she was not worth anything. She had hide herself in her work, wandering around the halls of the hospital with bruises around her neck for weeks. Micah had been overly protective and wanted to kill the guy that had hurt her. It had not been something that she was wanting to explain to anyone, but it was Micah that had made sure that she was fine. That she had not actually been injured by Kaler’s hand that was pressed against her neck and crushing her throat. To this day she hated whenever fingers touched her neck, and Jem was absolutely amazing. He was the only person that understood that Kaler took a lot from her. Surprises were not the only thing that he had taken from her, but he had also taken pieces of her trust. Jem had a lot of walls to break down before she had figured out that she did in fact love him. James Hale was willing to work with her hate for his best friend, and so did her own best friend. Someone else that let her entertain her hatred was her best friend. Shayne still had a hard time with Vidette being Satan’s girlfriend, but she supposed that was something that she was just going to have to deal with. She was saddened that her best friend would want someone instead of their hoes over bros slogan. The entire time during the ceremony, she had her best friend to sit with along with Jem of course, but that was only because Satan was at the front of the church being a groomsman.
The reception had not been as easy as the wedding. At least when she was sitting in the pew, she was able to talk about how beautiful everything was. Ever since the reception started the only way that she had been able to talk to Vidette was whenever Kaler decided that he needed to go off with some other girl. Granted it was Kay, Randi, and the wedding party and the likes, but she smiled as she looked at Viddy noticing the empty cup that was now in her hand. The tequila drinkers had been doing their shots and drinks, but Shayne had been drinking a little more than she probably needed too, but that was what had taken her to the table in the first place. She had not expected to have a cold drink thrown on her or anything like that. But it had been the straw that broke the camel’s back. She was already pissed off at the man who had tried to apologize after how many months. Kaler did not care about her in the least, who the hell did he think he was that this was going to be okay. He had waited for months to apologize, and it wasn’t even that. He had stolen Vidette’s phone and said that it was because he knew she wouldn’t listen. In the same token, she knew damn well the she would not have listened to a word he would have spoken to her. She gave him no credit for anything expect trying to make things better between his girlfriend and himself. He already had her, so what was the point in trying to do anything to fix what he had broken. His best friend had done that, and when the cold drink spilled all over her dress she was furious.
Of all the people she could have had run into her, it had to be Kaler. Of course it had to be Satan himself considering she had been avoiding him like the plague for the duration of what had happened. She had began her rant, and she was still fuming. Her tiny fists were balled tight, as Shayne glanced around to see if anyone was around her. Her dark eyes narrowed whenever Satan began speaking to her. He thought he would be okay with telling her to dry. Shayne was livid. “I am sure I will dry. Not the point asshat.” She was pissed and could not begin to express the anger that was seething through her veins right now. His voice just brought out the worst of her, because every time she heard his voice it was just that night with his hand around her neck all over again. “Oh of course, it is all my fault again. It’s not my fault that you are spacially challenged Satan. And you did a damn good job of avoiding me, god forbid I get to have one night of pure unadulterated fun.” This was not even the worst. Her fist was shaking with rage as he continued to speak to her. “I’m sure you are sorry about my dress. Just like you were sorry about nearly killing me. At least this time you had the decency to apologize now though.” Shayne was not sure how long she was going to be able to deal with this. The bantering was one thing but the fact that she could not stop seeing him with his hand around her neck, she gently lifted her free hand to her neck and rubbed it. She was terrified to be standing in such close proximity to him, and all she needed was Jem. That was who she wanted.

This was really the last place that Kaler Scott wanted to be right now. He had been very glad to be a part of his best friends’ wedding, and he had loved being able to stick around and party with them like there was no tomorrow and push a couple of gorgeous women around the dance floor, but this seriously wasn’t worth it. Kaler knew full and well that this was all his fault; he would never try to blame Shayne for how things were because it had been him and his stupid games that had led them all into the situation that they were in, and had put her in danger at Kaler’s own hands. That had not been his best moment, and she had every right to fear him and to be angry with him, to dislike how her best friend was currently dating him, and Kaler didn’t think that there was a thing in this world that was going to change any of it. It wasn’t like he could take it back or make her forget, and he had no way of even communicating without her throwing some kind of bitch fit. His one attempt at an apology had failed quite miserably, and she seemed to not hear a word of what he was saying and find fault in the fact that he had waited so long, or had called her from Vidette’s phone. Kaler was sure that if Shayne would step back from it all, she would see that Kaler’s actions had been logical and made perfect sense to a sane person. He wouldn’t dare speak those words, though. Kaler actually liked living, and didn’t want to give her anymore reasons to want to end him.
The truth of that matter was that Shayne had been lucky that Kaler had tried to apologize at all, and the fact that he had owned up to what he had done should have been enough to prove to anyone that he was really trying to be someone better than he had been being. Vidette was his reason for that, Kaler hoping to become someone that she actually deserved, striving to be that man before she woke up and realized that he wasn’t anything right now except for the smart mouthed, manipulative manwhore he had been when he had rushed this town two years ago. Not that she paid any attention at all to that fact. Shayne was content to think that Kaler was the scum of the earth, the dreg of society, and Satan himself. Maybe one day things could be better and they could come to some kind of an understanding, because it should have been clear by now that Kaler was not leaving Vidette unless she ordered him away. Kaler and Shayne had that one shared interest, though Kaler very much doubted that any understanding between them would happen soon and it certainly wouldn’t be done here today at the wedding reception after he had just managed to spill water on her dress.
In all honesty, Kaler wasn’t really paying that much attention to what Shayne was saying as she spat at him. He knew that he had done her wrong, played her and manipulated her, pinned her back against a wall by her throat, but she was not the first woman to fall for his charms, and Kaler had never meant to physically hurt her the way that he had. He had done the whole “be the better person” deal and offered up an apology, and he decided it was best to tune out her annoyingly pitched voice as she continued her verbal assault. But then she had to bring up that, and Kaler could feel the anger spike. He didn’t understand why she had to fucking harp on things, sounding like a broken record when he was ready to walk away, when she should have also walked away and let it be. His eyes narrowed slightly, his mind automatically responding to that comment of hers thinking that had he wanted to kill her, he would have done it. Not that Kaler was a killer, but in those blind rages like that he really had little control over what he was doing; he just reacted. “You really just gotta put some more salt in that wound, hm? If I were you, I’d be amazed just to hear an apology out of me. They don’t come easy.” But when he said them, he meant them. That was all that she needed to take out of this, but Kaler knew that his words would be falling on deaf ears. And it wasn’t like he was being a smart ass as he spoke to her, his tone level and just telling her the God’s honest truth. Again, Shayne would find a reason to fault him, but it was really just whatever at this point.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott and james alexander hale . it is dunzo and has eight hundred and thirty seven words. the one and only three days grace contributed to this inspiration from the song i hate everything about you . this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes go fuck yourself kaler, and save me jem! ______________________ Shayne felt vindicated by the actions she had. She had every right to be terrified to be standing in the same proximity of Satan himself, to call him Satan and to actually legitimately hate him. The brunette had no desire to see him in her life, and she knew that eventually this confrontation was going to happen. It had long been over due, and he deserved everything that she had to say to him. He had brought everything upon himself, and Shayne literally had no sympathy for him whatsoever. She honestly did not believe that her best friend or his best friend needed him in their lives, but who was she to say who was allowed in their lives. She just knew that she wanted nothing to do with him in her life. Shayne had a hard enough time looking at him whenever she had this chance encounter. What happened had happened and there was nothing that anyone could do to take back the nightmare that she had lived through. She hated thinking about it because it just sent her back to the place that she had been in months ago. Guarded, untrusting, and scared all emotions that the brunette did not want to have again. She in fact hated that about herself, it also made her suspicious of everything that happened in her life. So things were not always easy with Shayne and she knew that.
Shayne had her own views of Kaler Scott, and no one in their right mind would try and change that. She was content thinking that he deserved anything and everything that came to him. Above all she hoped that her best friend wised up before getting her heart broken all over again. She had been the one played, not Vidette, but it had almost ruined them once. Who was to say that Kaler was not going to cheat on her again. Words were just words, and even if he said that changed how was she supposed to believe a damn thing that he said? That was why she did not listen to the fucking apology he had tried to lay on her ears. Shayne did not believe him, or a word that came out of his mouth. He could try and apologize until he was blue in the face, but it was not going to change the opinion that she had of him. He was the scum between her toes which was not going to change anytime soon. Not for Jem, not for Vidette, and certainly not for him and his apology. She really wanted to tell him to shove his cocky personality and apology up his ass and get the fuck away from her. The brunette was already furious enough to deck him again, as her fist shook with rage. The idea was sincerely coursing through her head, even if that move had almost costed her her own life once before. She just wanted to knock the smug right out of him
The brunette knew how to push the buttons to make her point known. She was not going to let go the fact that he had almost crushed her and her life. No, he was not that lucky; she was also very skilled in holding a grudge. So almost dying was a good way to earn that from her. Shayne was not going to forgive Kaler. It was not going to happen, and anyone could ask her to do it and it would not happen. Her hand was still on her neck, while the other was in a fist. She could see his eyes narrowed, and the doe eyed look had returned to her face. Alright, so maybe bring that up was not her best idea seeing as how he could easily lose his temper and successfully kill her this time. She stared at him, hoping and praying to God that he didn’t try and hit her. She was scared as she stood there and watched the angry Kaler Scott. Before she knew what was happening the hand that had been on her neck was connecting with his face. He knew how to push her to the point that she could not control what was going on with her own body. He was really just lucky that it had not been the fist that was still down by her side. Knowing that if she had punched him again it very well could have been the end of her. She had slapped him hard and was honestly thinking about doing it again before she spoke. “You think you apology means anything? And you honestly thought that I would just let it go? Kaler you could have fucking killed me! And you aren’t me, so don’t pretend to think you know the first thing about me. So go fuck yourself.” The hand that had just slapped him was raised again, and then a pair of arms were wrapped around her before she could slap him again.

Jem was having a pretty good time at the event of the century here in Arietta, Maine. The wedding for his good friends Jared and Randi had turned out to be a rather beautiful occasion... well the ceremony anyway. The reception, on the other hand, seemed to slowly be turning into a disaster. He had been drawn to the liquor table, like others in the building, when an argument between his little sister, Brittany, and her former boyfriend Kade got into yet another fight. Not that he was at all surprised, but he had hoped that such an outburst would not take place at the wedding. He had been wrong, however. He had watched as Kade and his little sister were escorted from the premises and that was that. He had lost Shayne just about that time, and had began the search for his girlfriend, knowing that without him something was likely to happen. And boy was he right too. He had totally called it. He caught sight of her right about the time that her hand collided with the side of his face, and that was when he immediately started pushing his way through the crowd to try and get to his girlfriend and his best friend. That was easier said than done, but he eventually managed to do so and just as her hand raised to do it again he managed to get his arms around her. “Shayne. You don’t want to do this. Come on, let’s just go.” He pulled her backwards, away from Kaler who he shot a look at like “I could have told you this would happen.” Not that Kaler was completely innocent in whatever had happened, he was sure. Either way, he should probably do a little damage control given the fact that Britt had caused a disturbance and he had been unable to get there to resolve the situation. The least he could do for the beautiful bride was get Shayne under control. Getting her away from Kaler was probably the best idea, but he wasn’t so sure how successful that would be. Picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder might not be the best approach, or very appropriate in this setting. It was an option, though. He felt the urge to say “Let it go” but he knew that would not be met with very positive results, either. He kept a hold of her, though, determined that at the very least he wasn’t going to let her release herself and go after him. Murder at a wedding would not be a very good thing. “Come on, Shayne.” He said, attempting to turn her around and walk her away from Kaler.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott and james alexander hale . it is dunzo and has three hundred and forty one words. the one and only three days grace contributed to this inspiration from the song i hate everything about you . this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes go fuck yourself kaler, and save me jem! ______________________ Shayne felt a pair of arms wrap around her, and she wanted out. The only thought really going through her mind was how much she wanted to kill Kaler Scott for being the piece of scum that he was. There was so much that she wanted to do to him, but it was a fact that whomever’s arms had managed to wrap around her were not letting go. She tried to break free, but then a soothing voice entered her ears. It was her boyfriend, someone that would know exactly why she had let her hand connect with Kaler’s face. Kaler had deserved so much more than what he was going to get from her, but he was lucky that Jem had scooped her up. That was when she noticed that he was pulling her backwards and away from the man she so very much wanted to kill. “Let me go. James Hale I swear to god, let me go.” She was livid and she wanted to give Kaler what he deserved, but Jem was not going to let her go. He was too much the gentleman to let her go and try to kill his best friend, but that was what she wanted to do. James tried to keep her under control, but she was not having it. The suggestion to leave was obviously the only thing that she could do seeing as how she was causing just as big as scene as what Kade and Britt had. She turned her head around so that she could sneak a peak at Kaler again, “I hope you fall off the face of the Earth.” She felt Jem pulling her away from the scene and turning her around. “Seriously, let me go. I’m fine. Can we just go? I do not want to be here anymore.” She was serious, Shayne was not in the mood to be at the wedding anymore knowing that Kaler was still going to be there.
