oliver james finley -- twenty-three -- resident -- medical student -- british

some of you may remember me but for those who don't, my name is addie and i'm eighteen years old. this here is my only character on here, oliver james finley, also commonly known as ollie. and that little girl up there isn't his daughter, but his four year old sister molly - unintentionally conceived when mr. and mrs. finley were on a ski trip in switzerland when oliver was in college. but moving on. he's twenty-three years old and is in his third year of medical school. if you're thinking he's way too young to be so far along in med school, but he was born and raised in england where they finish high school/secondary school at sixteen years old. the finley's moved to arietta, maine after oliver graduated (his father was offered a higher paying job) so he began college early. if you're wondering, oliver is going to be a pediatrician. when molly was three years old she was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia, a cancer of both the blood and bone marrow, so that was last year and fueled oliver even more to become a pediatrician. then about three months ago, mr. and mrs. finley were killed in a brutal car accident when a drunken driver ran into them after going through a red light at an intersection. so now it's sort of oliver and molly against the world. she's too young to know exactly what happened and oliver pushes the whole thing to the back of his mind because he knew that he wouldn't be able to cope otherwise. all of his parents savings go towards molly's treatment and some of his friends help out because let's face it, hospital bills are expensive. then oliver works at a bar in town to pay for everything else - medical school and college can be paid off once he's got a proper job. so all in all, he doesn't have a lot of money. he sleeps on a fold out couch while molly gets the bedroom in their one bedroom apartment. all in all, oliver's a good guy. he doesn't put up with whiny, annoying girls and hates pet names like baby or babe. he's protective, friendly, humorous, genuine and straight to the point. if he doesn't like you, he's not going to hide it. and he doesn't have a problem with kicking your ass. because of all the shit that happened in the last year, he has a lot of pent up anger hence why his temper often gets the better of him. so yeah, plot him up.
