we were such awful kids. and i think that was the problem. we thought we were invincible and that nothing could happen to us. and then someone decided that we needed to be taught a lesson.

there's that... but i think it's much more likely that we were just horny and a condom broke somewhere along the way.

well if you want to take the easy way to explain it, then there is that. we were such bad kids kaler. i can still see the look on our parents' faces.

we were, but it was fun while it lasted. yeah... that look was pretty great. your parents were much kinder than i had expected. i wasn't afraid of my parents, but i can remember praying for the first time in my life the day your parents came into town that you dad didn't kill me.

you think? i was terrified that my dad was going to kill you. his baby girl was knocked up and so young. i was scared what your mom would think of me; i thought i would be referred to as the girl that ruined their son. it was not a good feeling.

i think it's funny how we're just now talking about this. yeah, well beth scott was a kind woman that way. and you know dad still asks about you sometimes. not that i talk to him a lot, but sometimes.

yeah well when we have four years away from each other, well we forget to talk about this. and we were too little to think about this back when it was going on. and dad asks about me? really? i should probably call him and say hi at some point. mom asks about you. she likes to check in on you and make sure you are okay.

yeah, he asks about you if we manage to stay on the phone longer than two minutes. like i said, doesn't happen often, but sometimes. and you're welcome to call. i'm sure he'd like that. well, i might have to stop in and visit your mom soon then.
