Sleep evades insomniacs on a regular basis. Kind of unfortunate, really.

Indeed it is. No one is ever on this late at night other than myself; it gets kind of lonely. I'm Sebastian, by the way.

Lucky girl. I haven't had a decent nights sleep in over three years. Pleasure to meet you as well. How are you this fine evening? Or morning. Whichever you prefer.

My mind tends to run on overdrive. It won't shut off, so I'm always thinking and processing and over-analyzing. It just keeps me awake. Ah, can't say I disagree with you there. I'm pretty bored, to be honest. You'd be surprised how little there is to do at nearly 4 am in the morning.

"a shot of vodka usually helps me stop thinking, let alone overthinking, but perhaps self medication isn't the answer in this case. yeah, i can't imagine there would be a lot to do. "

Only one shot? Unfortunately, self-medication hasn't worked for me when it comes to insomnia. It could definitely work for you though, especially if this is a once in a blue moon occurrence. So what's your reason for being awake at this hour? I found Tom and Jerry on Boomerang a few minutes ago, so that's helping to keep me entertained for a while.

Ah, now that's more like it. Hitting the books? You're a college girl, huh? What's your major? And it's odd, because you would think studying would bore you to the point that you'd be more likely to fall asleep.

Another nurse, huh? It seems like there are more nurses than doctors these days. Why is it not looking hopeful? I don't think you're fucked up. I think you're just backwards.
