this post is tagged for mykayla michelle trent. it is dunzo and has five hundred and eighty eight words. the one and only ryan cabrara contributed to this inspiration from the song true . she is looking sick and sexified wearing that up there. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes they are cute ______________________ Whenever Brody had initially started his conversation with Mykayla Trent, it was out of sheer innocence. It was never supposed to have taken the turn that it did, and he had never expected to hear her say something like what she had. Their conversation had started because of studying and because the young man had missed one person that he held very dear to his heart. She was the only person that had made a positive influence on him in his life. His family had been something a bit unconventional, seeing as he had a half sister and that his father was a bit of a manwhore. How was he supposed to go against anything than what he had been taught? That was when Mykayla had waked into his life and showed him that it was not always about the people that you slept with. She had taught him about the fact that some of what mattered was what the person meant to them. That was why he had gone after Mykayla time and time again, because out of everyone that had walked into his life she was the only one that actually mattered to him. She had changed him and made him the better man that she knew he could be. Yes, he was well aware of how much that they mattered to each other, and he knew that this was something completely out of character for Kay. He stared at his computer screen for a good five minutes before replying to her and saying that he would be on his way shortly. He had been lounging around his boxers and t-shirt just debating if he really needed to do his homework that evening. He had not expected an invitation from Kay to come over and do what he had been suggesting.
He grabbed his jeans, pulled them on, and grabbed all the other necessities in order to leave his apartment. He put his wallet and cell phone in their respective pockets, remembering that he needed to tell Kay that he was indeed on his way over. Brody was still a little stunned by his friend’s proposition, but he was not one to turn down one Mykayla Trent. He truly did love her, in her own special Mykayla way. He knew that the friendship that they shared was enough to get him through the day and everything that was necessary in his life. He flew down the steps to his black F-150 and immediately put the key into the ignition making the engine roar to life. He put the car into drive and drove the familiar path to Kay’s house. It was somewhere that he was truly comfortable being around, and he loved the blonde girl that he was going to visit. He pulled into the driveway and parked his truck behind Kay’s car and threw the keys in the cup holder. Brody walked the few paces to the front door and knocked on the door. He looked at the window wondering where the hell she was. Brody twisted the door knob and was surprised that it was open; he peaked his head in before speaking loudly trying to find the blonde girl that he was content with making feel uncomfortable and blushing. “Mykayla! I’m here....where are you?” He said with a grin on his face as he closed the door that he had just come in. He was still searching around, but before long Kay had made herself known.

She knew that this was her own doing. There was no one that she could possibly blame for this one but herself, because she was the one that was allowing it to happen. When Mykayla had logged onto the internet, she had been doing so with the hopes of finding a good distraction from life. She had just been to the doctor earlier that day to have some scans done, and while everyone around her remained optimistic, Kay wasn’t so sure that the news that she would get later that evening would be what they were all hoping for. That was weighing heavily on the young woman’s mind as she distracted herself with Facebook, going through and reading the updates and looking at the pictures that Jared was posted of his and Randi’s honeymoon in the Caribbean. They were all so sweet and beautiful, but that only caused Mykayla to think about her own failed love life and how the man that she loved had told her that they couldn’t speak anymore. She looked up his own Facebook profile and saw nothing new, but then rolled her pretty blue eyes at herself when she realized how close she was to becoming Greyson’s stalker. That couldn’t happen, and that was when an ex boyfriend of hers had logged onto messenger, providing her with a distraction that she desperately needed from all her gloomy thoughts. Brody Whitter was a young man that meant a great deal to Mykayla, being her first serious boyfriend and the first to earn her love. He had been so difficult at first, but through a series of events he had learned patience, she had given him her trust, and they had become people that just meant something to each other, regardless of their status as friends or something more.
Kay was in no way looking for something more than friends with Brody, but the manner in which he spoke to her had just struck something deep down with her that day. He was being cute and suggestive, as usual, but there were certain things that he had said that had flipped a switch inside the young woman’s head and made her extend this invitation to him. Now Brody was on his way, and he was coming for one thing and one thing only. Maybe they would talk, maybe they would catch up like the old friends that they were, but sex was what he was after, and that was what she had implied they would be doing. So, Kay pushed herself away form her computer and went to her bathroom, hands already shaking with nerves, stomach already alive with butterflies and heart racing. She didn’t do this; she didn’t do random hook ups with exes. She took a deep breath and looked in the mirror, slowly lifting her hand to release her blonde locks from the pony tail they had been put up in. Kay bit down on her lip nervously. She could do this, and that was when her eyes found a black, silky robe that hung on the back of her bathroom door. Mykayla didn’t normally wear it, but an idea was forming in her mind as she unbuttoned her jeans and left them lying on the bathroom floor, followed by all her other clothes. Kay pulled the robe down off of the hanger and wrapped it around her tiny frame, the material cool against her skin. She turned and looked at herself in the mirror, surprised at how she could look, but also knowing that she was rather ribby now, her weight dropping by the pound, pounds she really hadn’t had to lose to begin with. Ugh, like she wasn’t self conscious as it was….
With what time she had left before he got there, Kay took the time to be a little vain and prep her hair, touch up her make up. Brody had seen her with less before, but if she was going to do this, she wasn’t going to do it half assed. She was going to be stunning, and she was going to surprise the hell out of him. Brody was used to her shy, timid ways, her never one to be bold and do things like she was about to do unless she was in a relationship with a man and was really, truly comfortable with him. Kay heard Brody’s truck pull up and park, and she did her finishing touches as she heard him knock on the door. He would figure out that it was unlocked, and she took another deep breath, forcing the nerves away and putting on a look of confidence that she was trying to make herself believe as she turned to exit the bathroom, hearing Brody let himself in. He was looking for her, but he hadn’t been looking long when she stepped to her bedroom doorway, fixing her bright blue eyes on him. “I’m right here,” she said, that playful, seductive little grin of hers coming to play on her lips as he turned to see her. She cocked her head to the side, letting the robe fall open to reveal her naked body beneath. This was unlike anything she had done before, but she had a feeling that Brody was going to appreciate it, especially when she let that skimpy robe fall to off of her shoulders and onto the floor.

Mykayla Trent was not the casual sex girl and she never ever propositioned him for sex. That had always been his area of the relationship, initiating sex. He obviously had sparked her enough without ever intentionally meaning to get her to into his bed. He had just thought about teasing her and making things as awkward as he could for his really good friend and ex-girlfriend. Mykayla had turned a total one eighty whenever she asked him to come over and he was happy to indulge the girl. That was why he had tried to get his ass over there as soon as possible, because he did not want her to change her mind. It was not like he was really getting propositioned by girls that he would want to be with it. It had been Kay that had turned him from his playboy ways, so if there was one person that he would sleep with over and over again it was her. She was probably the most meaningful girl in his life besides Stella, but that was something else entirely. Stella was his best friend and the only girl that could say that she took his v-card. It had been an awkward night and rather enjoyable for him, because he loved Stell on her own special level. It was also on her own special level that he loved Mykayla Trent, what with her being the only girl in his life that he could actually admit that he loved. he had trusted her and settled down. She was also the only person to actually get him to think about what he was doing with other women and made him ashamed of what he had been doing. Brody wanted to be the kind of guy that a girl like Mykayla would want, and that was his goal.
He had driven over to her home as quickly as possible, thanking God each and every moment that he was on the road that no one else was around as he sped his black truck to her home. He had finally figured out that the door was unlocked and let himself in. it was so hard to understand what was going through her beautiful head. He had never seen her act like this, but it was something that he was okay with. She had laid this on him and it was not like him to object to a beautiful girl that was offering herself at him. It was hard not to whenever it came to Brody, but that was who he was. The girls around this town hardly paid attention to the fact that he had indeed changed, and he could thank the one and only Mykayla for that. But it still didn’t stop him from taking a beautiful girl for what she was offering. He had looked around the obvious places, and then all of a sudden he heard her voice peep up. His eyes spun around to where the voice had come from, and there was the beautiful girl that he would always love. Except this was not the traditional Kay that he was used to. The Kay that he was used to was timid and just the usual Kay that he had fallen in love with. He had not expected to run into Kay and her confident side. Not that he was complaining because he was actually enjoying seeing this side of her. Her bright blue eyes locked on his, and he smirked at the blonde girl before him. He could honestly say that he was enjoying himself. His eyes roamed over her perfect frame and loved the contrast of the black robe against her skin. He stood there completely awestruck, especially whenever her robe opened to reveal a very naked Kay underneath. It was something that he had not expected, and his jaw dropped a little. It was very welcomed surprise for him, and just whenever he was about to move the rob dropped to the floor leaving her completely naked in her bedroom door frame.
Brody was staring at her taking in the beauty that was Mykayla, and then he realized he had not moved since he walked into the house. He shook his head and snapped himself out of this funk. He immediately started to pull his shirt up over his head and crossed the distance from where he was standing to her. He smirked wildly before speaking to her. ”That was definitely something i did not expect.” He was not wrapping her tiny frame up in his arms and pulled her close as he pressed his lips to hers. He was ready to do this as he pulled her gently closer to the bed and placed her gently on the bed. He unzipped his jeans and made it over to Kay on the bed. This was what he had come over here for, and he was perfectly content to give Kay anything and everything that she desired as his hand caressed her soft skin and started to gently place kisses all over her body feeling he heat of her skin against his lips. This was going to be an exciting afternoon to say the least.

This was truly that last thing that the twenty-two-year-old had imagined herself doing today. Or, you know, ever. She had always been a very modest girl, which was amazing in itself if you saw the three older brothers and younger sister that she had grown up with. None of them were shy at all when it came to these kind of topics and the sharing of their own bodies with others, but that Trent gene seemed to skip right over her and had somehow found itself in her adopted baby sister. Kay hadn’t given up her virginity until she was almost twenty-one years old, when she had been dating Jem Hale for some time and had known without a doubt that she was head over heels in love with him. Brody, whom she had dated before Jem, hadn’t even gotten a shot at her until the second time that they had dated, but he had been a good, patient man to wait on her that long. That was what made all of this a little bit easier, made her able to find some confidence in herself to be able to pull this kind of a stunt. A piece of her heart was always going to belong to Brody, and she could still honestly say that she loved him. He had been with her before, had known her and her tendencies, and this was going to be a move that was sure to blow him right out of the water. Part of her was kind of excited at that prospect; the other part of her was hoping that he didn’t laugh at her, hoping that she was able to pull this off and actually sleep with this young man that had come calling at her door upon her request. They both knew this wasn’t something she ever did, but as he came into sight the nerves seemed to die down.
He was still Brody, and she was still Mykayla. She trusted him, and she knew that she wanted to be with him in this way. He was actually the last man that she had shared a bed with, and it was surprising how her body could still react to him. But he was having a certain kind of reaction to her too, his jaw dropping as she let the robe she had been wearing fall to the ground, his eyes roaming over her. Kay couldn’t help but to smirk a little to herself as she had stopped him where he stood, Brody shocked and unable to move for a long moment before he snapped himself out of it and began to pull his shirt up over his head. “That was definitely something I did not expect.” Good, she thought, but before she could comment they were kissing, his arms taking her up in their embrace and the two of them moving back into her bedroom. Every ounce of nerves and uncertainty that she had felt before were now gone, Kay caught up in this moment that they were now sharing as he took her to her bed, where she lay back and watched as he unzipped his jeans before coming to her. Mykayla felt his hands on her, and then he started placing kisses all over her body. She let her blue eyes close, feeling the warmth of his breath against her skin, getting lost in the feeling as his skin moved against hers. She let her hands roam over him, feeling the taunt muscle that lie beneath his skin, letting her fingers run through that messy dirty blonde hair that she had always adored. Kay was pleasantly surprised to see that he remembered what she liked, and she could only grin at how soft and careful he was in every move he made. Brody had always treated her well, and she was going to be sure to treat him well this afternoon.
Mykayla was not always the most daring girl, and she was not bold when it came to initiating situations like these, but once you got her here, most would be surprised to see how sexual and sensual the young woman was. It could almost seem like she was hiding behind all that modesty, waiting for the right time to pounce and show you what she could do in bed. Brody had learned this before, and of all things that shouldn’t have been one that would take by surprise when her sexual appetite proved to be so great. He had come prepared, though, and she couldn’t seem to get enough of him and what he was doing for her. Even after they had both collapsed from sheer exhaustion, Mykayla snuggled her body up close to his, letting her head rest against his chest and one arm wrap around him, still wanting that closeness. She listened to his heart beating, waiting for their breathing to return to normal after such exertions. Kay knew that she could be happy right here with him, but happy wasn’t always enough, and that was a lesson that they had both learned with each other. After some time, Kay move just enough to where she could turn and look up into that hansom face of his. “Thank you,” she said quietly, smiling softly up at him. “I needed to be taken out of my own head for a little while. This…this was really good.” She was still looking at him with her soft features, voice quiet and sweet as she rested her chin on his chest now. Mykayla had never understood why people used each other as a distraction, but she guessed now she did.

this post is tagged for mykayla michelle trent. it is dunzo and has one thousand and twenty six words. the one and only enrique iglasias contributed to this inspiration from the song hero . she is looking sick and sexified wearing that up there. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes wow that was longer than expected <3 ______________________ Whenever Brody and Mykayla had been dating it was something magical. It was not about the sexual aspects, at least not the first time around. The first time they had been dating was when he was a senior in high school, and he had been the manwhore of the high school in his day. It was nothing out of the ordinary, because every girl had flocked to him. He had lost his virginity to his best friend Stella Garland whenever he was a sophomore, just so he did not have to explain himself whenever he tried to hook up with a girl for the first time. The two best friends had done it as a favor, and somehow he had managed to find two great women that would always mean something to him. Mykayla would always hold that special place in his heart, because even though she had not been his first ever she was the first person that he slept with that actually meant anything. He had loved her more than words could ever express, and somehow they both knew that they would always love each other on some level. So the fact that she had propositioned him had shocked the hell out of him. He honestly thought that she was joking whenever she had invited him over that afternoon. He knew all about the little freak between the sheets that Kay could be whenever she got riled up, so maybe that was the side of her that was coming out today. Not that he would ever dream of complaining about this. That was why he stood there stunned at the blonde beauty that was standing there. It was shocking and something he had not experienced with her in his life, but he was glad to have the opportunity to say that he was witnessing the adventurous side of Kay.
When that blonde beauty had shed her robe he had a million thoughts running through his head. How had he been the one so lucky to get her and have her like this? What had made her want him, other than the fact that they were always on and off again? He stood there with his jaw lax from shock, and whenever he was finally able to snap himself out of the shock he let a smirk cross his lips. This was going to be fun and he started to strip of his clothes and lead her where she wanted to be. He was not about to let her speak about anything that was going on; the last thing he needed was to be worked up and then have Kay change her mind. He was not about to let that happen. His clothes were quickly shed and he placed gentle kisses along her body. Letting his fingers dance along her delicate skin. There was always a part of Brody that would remember exactly what Kay liked, because she was the only person that he had slept with ever that he loved. She would always have that special place in his heart, he also knew how to make things into a soft longing nature. Something he had always been good at with Kay, because he never wanted the moment to end whenever he was with her. His skin moved against hers, until he finally took her there on her bed. He knew she would let herself loose and enjoy herself because he had found out that she was his little freak in the sheets. Total lady by day, but there was a side of Kay that very few people had ever seen when it comes to her in the bedroom. Her fingers in his hair had always been something he loved, and that was what made this even better. Neither of them had forgotten what turned the other on and made this even better.
He knew his girl well and knew that she had that unquenchable desire whenever she was unleashed. Brody had definitely been up for the challenge back then and now. He may not be sleeping with every woman that came his way these days, but he still had the stamina that he always had. Brody could not get enough of her, not enough of her skin against his, his fingers wrapped in her hair, hers in his, his fingers against her delicate frame. He could do this all day and never mind. Anytime that Mykayla wanted this itch scratched, he would be down to please her and show her a good time. At some point they finally collapsed from sheer exhaustion; he was actually kind of hungry as he lay next to her. That was something that he would never do though, he had always been the good guy that stayed by her side. Brody would never leave Kay’s side, especially after what had just happened between the two of them. He felt her body get as close to his as she could, with an arm draped over him, he let his arm wrap around her and keep her close. Their breath and hearts were going at a mile a minute and he just closed his eyes and concentrated on lowering his heart rate, as he felt her head on his chest. He could not help but look down on the beauty that he could fall in love with over and over again. That was when her head turned towards him. He smiled as she thanked him for coming over and pleasing her. “I should be thanking you, but you are welcome. I am happy to help you anytime you need taken out of your own little head.” He said with a smirk on his lips. That offer was definitely always there. But her statement had him questioning a little bit. “And what has your pretty little head so worked up that you needed to find me for a booty call? Not that i mind being you distraction Kay, you know I definitely don’t but what’s bothering you?” There was concern on his face, after all he still loved her in their own little way.

Looking up into his face, Mykayla could hardly believe that Brody was there, that she was lying with him like this in her bed. Of course, she knew how it had all happened, and that it had indeed happened. Her body was still swirling with pleasant reminders of what had just occurred between them, but the real wonder on her mind was whole familiar it all seemed. The first time they had dated, it had seemed random and just by chance. She had always been aware of whom Brody Whitter was, but he had never done anything to catch her attention until she had already been graduated from high school and was in college. It was hard to say what exactly how brought Mykayla and Brody together, but it had never been a mistake, and certainly not something that Kay had ever regretted. Brody had made her so mad sometimes, pushing boundaries and buttons that would flare up that Trent temper and make her wonder why she was bothering and putting in time and effort into a young man that didn’t seem capable of anything desirable, but then he would do something so kind, so sweet that she would be reminded of the good man she saw in him, and wanted others to be able to see. The second time around had seemed just by chance as well, her relationship with Jem ending at her own hands and Mykayla finding her way back to that first boyfriend, and finding a way to fall in love with Brody that she hadn’t imagined to be possible. Now look at him, being that safe harbor that she always seemed to run to when things got rough.
And things really were getting more and more difficult every day. Mykayla found herself desperately clinging to everything that she had, finding comfort in the little things and wishing that she could just go to sleep and then wake up in a world where nothing was wrong. However, if she did that, then she wouldn’t be there with Brody now because all her anguish and despair would have never led her to extend the kind of invitation to him that she had, and this would have never happened. There was a part of her that was already cringing at the thought of how she had used him, hating how she had gone against everything that she had ever felt before and given in and been so weak. But, there was also a part of her that knew that everyone had these moments, and that she had at least done something right in doing this with someone like Brody instead of just some random person that would mean nothing to her. Some people would prefer that, but Kay didn’t think that she would ever be able to offer herself to someone that she didn’t know, someone that she didn’t trust and love the way that she trusted and loved Brody. He was always there for her, and while this had greatly benefited him, they both knew that it wasn’t just about the sex, but about the bond that they would always share. Maybe what they had done wasn’t the greatest in terms of morals, but it meant the world to Kay that he was there, and she hoped her thank you had told him as much.
That smirk that Brody wore on his lips after was almost enough to take all sincerity out of the moment, but Kay knew him and knew that he had understood. She was sure that he would be happy to help anytime that she would call on him, especially if this was how he could help her, but Mykayla didn’t see this being repeated. She wouldn’t crush his hopes just yet, though. But then he was talking again, Kay’s blue eyes on him, watching the concern appear in his facial expression. She should have known that Brody would ask, and she didn’t know what to tell him. “I don’t know if I should tell you,” she said, her voice quiet again as she let her head tilt to one side. She looked down and away from his gaze, biting down on her lower lip as she thought about it. Brody was so close to her, and she hated all this lying, all this hiding. Kay had already told Jem her biggest secret; maybe it would be okay to tell Brody, too. “I’m in love with Greyson, and he didn’t want me in the same way that I want him.” Her voice was still so soft, and her eyes still hadn’t looked up to Brody’s. He would surely understand, though, as he had known who Grey was to Mykayla as one of her best friends growing up, and someone she had always cared deeply for. That rejection had hurt more than anything, and while it seemed like she was getting over it, the fact that she had had casual sex like this was just a sign of how broken the girl was. “He isn’t even talking to me anymore….” Okay, so this wasn’t the biggest issue in Kay’s life but to Brody she knew it would be something, yet she was still holding back the big secret. Only three people other than Kay knew about this, but as she brought herself to look up in Brody’s caring, loving eyes, she didn’t want to hide it from him anymore.
“And I know that’s a lot by itself, but there is something else that I probably should have told you a long time ago…should have told everyone, and you can’t be mad at me for not telling you, okay?” She searched his eyes, looking for an agreement and understanding on his part before taking a shallow, shaky breath. “I have cancer, Brody. I’ve known about it for a while, and I’ve been getting treatment but… I went for scans this morning and I don’t know how they’re going to turn out.” And there it was, cat out of the bag just like that and Mykayla left to wait for his reaction, afraid of what she might see in those pretty eyes of his.

this post is tagged for mykayla michelle trent. it is dunzo and has one thousand two hundred and ninety four words. the one and only enrique iglasias contributed to this inspiration from the song hero . she is looking sick and sexified wearing that up there. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes wow that was longer than expected <3 ______________________ Everything that had happened with Mykayla Trent was something that he had never expected. Alright, so his head was spinning with pleasure knowing what had just happened, but that was not why he loved her. When they had first dated their relationship had been about getting to know each other. Brody was a man, and he liked to push buttons just to see how far he could push Kay. It had resulted in quite a few arguments, but it was Brody and Kay. No matter how upset they had gotten they worked through things and managed to deal with them. She was the only person that had made him want to be a better man, because that was what she deserved. He had a lot of changing to do, and when they broke up the first time he had decided that was when he was going to change. He watched as the woman he loved and adored was happy with someone else. Mykayla and Jem had been happy, and that was the kind of man that he wanted to be like. So whenever she had come back into his life for the second time, he was going to do his damnedest to keep her or at least prove that he had become someone worthy of her time. Brody had wanted to change for her, and it had been her that reminded him that there was a reason that nice guys were out there. Sure, they could be the friends that people desired, but they were the ones that ended up happy in the end. So even though things had never seemed to work out exactly for them, they were always there for each other. Every time they had walked into each others lives they managed to fall in love over and over again. So if he was her booty call now, he was okay with it. Brody would always be in Mykayla’s life however she wanted him. That was not going to change just because they could not work out as a couple.
The afternoon had changed drastically from what he was doing, not that he was complaining. He just never expected to be wrapped up in Kay’s delicate arms. his head had been buried in his books trying to make some semblance of his homework and reading assignments. Brody was actually a very good student, now that he had given up his crazy partying ways. Since he had become a better person he had lost a few of his drinking buddies, but the ones that matter had managed to keep him close. Vince still managed to drag him down to the club ever his buddy got extra lonely. It was something that just happened, but he held Mykayla and was just thankful that she had found him. Sure, it was completely out of character, but it was a side of her that he knew was just his. No one else would have been her booty call, but it was probably because of the relationship that they shared. Every time that something was wrong with their lives they always found their way back to each other. They both knew that a relationship never worked between them as hard as they tried to make it work, but it is what it is.
She was adorable though thanking him for coming over, like he really had a choice. Mykayla Trent making an offer like that and he would refuse? That would have been enough to admit him to the crazy ward. But the genuine Brody smirk crossed his lips and he knew that she would understand what it meant. Brody was always willing to help Mykayla, and if it involved sleeping with her hell he would do it every day. If it meant being there to talk then it was cool with him too. He spoke with ease, and then her blue eyes connected with his. There was something wrong with her, something serious and he could see it. How could he have been so blind? He realized that there was something bothering her, but he had no idea that it was serious. He figured it was just her school work, but then she spoke. How could she not tell him? She bit her bottom lip and he knew whatever was going to come out of her lips was going to something he more than likely did not want to hear. “i’m in love with Greyson, and he didn’t want me in the same way that I wanted him” The words came off her lips with such sadness, and it kind of infuriated him. How could some dude decide that Kay was not worth loving? Brody wanted to go slap the dumbass for hurting his Kay. She was too sweet and on top of it all he wasn’t even talking to her. How could a guy just do that to Mykayla? He gently lifted her chin so that she was looking at him, before he spoke. “Then he clearly doesn’t deserve you. Kay, you are too amazing not to love, and if he doesn’t see it then he isn’t worth it. You should find someone that sees you for the spectacular thing that you are.” He kissed her forehead gently when he was done speaking. It broke his heart to see her upset like that, especially over a dude that had been her good friend and had given up on her. He was clearly not worth the air he was breathing if he was willing to break her heart.
Her eyes had looked away after he had dropped his hand, and whenever her bright blue eyes looked back at him there was something else. She started to talk saying that he couldn’t be mad at her for not telling him. Brody’s eyes were full of concern waiting for her to tell him what was on her mind. He didn’t even have to speak, his eyes were enough to get her to continue with what she wanted to tell him. As soon as she started to speak Brody could feel tears welling in his eyes. he was not the kind of guy to show this side of him, but his Mykayla the only girl that he had ever loved in his life was telling him that she had cancer. How could she have known this without telling him?! This was breaking his heart, worse than some guy that didn’t want her. She could die, and he would have to deal with that. He was heartbroken as he pulled her in close to him trying to find words that were not fueled with anger. He wanted to yell at her for not telling him, but he would never. This was scary, seriously scary and he would be so lost without her. “How long have you known, Kay? How long have you known and not told me?” Those were the only words that seemed to come to his mind as he stroked her hair the concern in his eyes turning from concern to fear. He was terrified that he was going to lose her, but he would be there for her. He was not going to hide and run away from this. “How can I help, or be there for you? I’m not going anywhere Mykayla. I will always love you, and I don’t care if you are in love with some guy that doesn’t want you. I am going to be here to help you fight. You understand?” His voice was shaky, but he was completely serious about this. He was going to fight this with her, and do anything and everything he could.

She didn’t know how she had ever managed all of this for so long. Mykayla was a very expressive kind of girl, and when there was something on her mind she had no trouble at all with going to someone about it. She wasn’t afraid to cry, and she wasn’t afraid of showing how much something was bothering her or getting her down. Kade and Hunter were the stronger, silent types of the family, keeping everything close to their chest and they would rather go about solving their issues their own way, without help. Jared and Mykayla were the two that you could expect to see sobbing on ever sappy love story, the two that were true to every single thought and emotion that they had without any kind of filter, or that god awful pride to choke it all back. She wasn’t used to keeping secrets, or keeping how she felt about things all bottled up inside, but when she had found out about her illness, Mykayla had known that that was exactly what she had to do with it. Telling her family, well, that would have been detrimental. She couldn’t burden them with something like this, not until she was sure that it wasn’t just some silly little thing that she could fix within a couple of months and be fine with thereafter. She hadn’t known if she would be able to take how people would treat her, or how they would look at her, so it had made sense in Kay’s mind to keep this one to herself, only sharing it with Kade because she needed someone to help her, and Jem because he had deserved to know.
The situation with Greyson, however, was something that only she and Grey knew about. Others around Mykayla were starting to notice that there was something slightly off about that friendship, as Kay and Grey usually made a lot of time for each other, and were always going out whenever he could take a night off from his work at the restaurant and didn’t have plans with one of his many other women. That had all come to a very abrupt halt, and seemingly without warning or cause. People asked, and Kay brushed it off as no big deal when really it was killing her inside. She wanted to curl up in someone’s arms and just let it all out, cry if she had to, and get it off her chest and hear some comforting, reassuring words. But, Grey had asked her not to say a word which she figured was only in his best interest and had nothing to do with her or her feelings, but Mykayla was still his friend and had done as he had asked. If Kade or her other brothers found out, Greyson would have a target on his back for sure, and that was the last thing that she wanted to happen to him just because she had wanted something with him that he hadn’t wanted back. It all hurt so much, and she hated to whine, hated to bring burden onto anyone else, but here Brody was, asking her what was wrong and she finally had someone to tell, someone that she trusted, and someone that she knew would take care of her and what she was about to tell him. She had been a little hesitant to say a word about Greyson still, just because of the feelings that were there between herself and Brody. However, he handled it exactly how she had needed him to.
Brody had always known how to make Mykayla feel better, and although the heartache didn’t end just because he had said some nice things, just knowing that what he said was right gave her some piece of mind. Of course Mykayla knew that she couldn’t waste her time and energy on a man that didn’t love her in return. She knew better than to pine after him when it wouldn’t change anything, and she was trying to get a start on moving on from him. It was just so hard to watch someone that you love walk away. Maybe she deserved it, but she just wished that she didn’t have to feel this way about a guy that she had thought would never break her. Brody placed the sweetest kiss on her forehead, Kay closing her eyes and knowing that if her heart weren’t so attached so someone else, it would be Brody’s all over again in that very moment. They had something; there was no denying it and it was that special something that they shared that compelled Mykayla to continue to tell him the truth about everything. After all, she had already told Jem and nothing had changed. Telling Brody wouldn’t bring the world down on her, and after she had it all off of her chest there was a slight relief felt on the young girl. It was shortly lived, though, just because now her bright blue eyes were watching as tears filled and threatened to fall from Brody’s. This was exactly why Kay hadn’t wanted to tell a soul about her illness; she couldn’t stand to see their hearts breaking, couldn’t imagine what kind of fear would build in their minds. At first, he didn’t say a word. Brody just pulled her in closer, Mykayla letting both of her arms wrap down around him now as she closed her eyes again, holding back her tears that she would be crying for him.
His question fell on her ears, Kay forcing her eyes open but not yet looking up at him as they held each other. “Three months. I called Kade the same day I found out…. He’s been helping me.” She felt the need to let him know that she had at least been taking care of herself and trying to do everything that she could. “I just didn’t want to worry anyone else…” she added quietly, hoping that he would understand, because she could tell just by how he had spoken that he was reining in his anger he felt toward her for not telling him. However, next he seemed to be pleading with her, wanting to know how he could possibly help her. Mykayla picked up her head again, looking at him with sad blue eyes, feeling his hand stroke through her hair, hearing his words and it all breaking her heart so much she didn’t know if she could take it. At first she said nothing, a single tear falling down her cheek before she leaned up and placed a kiss on his lips, every emotion of that moment flooding into it and her lips lingering on his before she pulled away and let one hand go to gently caress his strong, handsome face and giving her head a soft nod; yes, she understood. “I love you, Brody, and you’re going to help just by being here, and being there to hold my hand when things get scary just like you’ve always been. I need you….and I’m so sorry that this is how you had to find out. I ruined the whole afternoon….” She sniffled a little as she looked down again. But she pulled a forced smile onto her lips quickly, looking at him while Kay blinked back more tears. “If I know you, you’re probably starving by now. We can go make something if you want.”

this post is tagged for mykayla michelle trent. it is dunzo and has one thousand four hundred and sixty six words. the one and only enrique iglasias contributed to this inspiration from the song hero . she is looking sick and sexified wearing that up there. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes let me be your hero baby ______________________ To know that something was wrong with Kay was one of the special tricks that he had learned. Alright, so maybe he had been a little off his game as of late, but it was not hard to tell something was wrong. Mykayla was this girl that wore her feelings on her sleeves, and he had always known that. It upset him more and more that he had not been paying attention enough to realize that something was up with her. He was more stunned that she had been able to keep these kinds of secrets from him for as long as she had. It was not like he had not noticed how distant she had been with Greyson; it was weird whenever they did not make time for each other. But then again it was the same scenario whenever it happened between himself and Kay. If they were not attached at the hip then there was something wrong. Kay was the one unchanging person in his life, and he needed that more than anything. She was the only person that actually still mattered to him, besides his sister Lainey which ironically was Kay’s good friend. So it was not hard to get some time with her. But to know that she had been keeping secrets from him was like cutting out his heart.
Brody knew that there was absolutely no point in trying to make things better on the Greyson front. The only thing that he could do was tell her that she was beautiful and worth every second. She did not deserve to be pushed aside and the fact that someone could resist Mykayla Trent was an oddity in itself. As of yet, no one that he knew could turn down the sheer beauty that she was. Kay was someone special, someone worth changing for and that was what the blonde had done. He had wanted to be someone that she deserved, and yes he was still the kind of man that pushed his boundaries and buttons as much as he could. Kay though, this tough side of her was something that he was not used to. He was never used to the girl that hid things from everyone, whether it was about a man that she had fallen in love with or anything. If something had been bothering the blonde he had always been there to pick the pieces up and hold her. It had been his job throughout everything to hold her and make things better. Even if he was not her boyfriend he had taken things like this upon himself. Brody knew that he was the safe harbor that she came to when things crashed and burned. Having a man reject her was one of those things, and that was something that was not going to sit well in his stomach. He wanted to go talk to Grey and find out why he was turning down the most wonderful thing that could have happened, because if it were Brody he would have taken her in his arms in a heartbeat. This was the bond between them. They always had something, and it was not going to go away. Both of them knew how to comfort and be what the other needed, even if things never seemed to work out between them.
He knew that the heartache that the woman in his arms was feeling was not going to go away anytime soon. One cannot choose who they fall in love with, much like they had not chosen to fall in love with each other. So there was no point in trying to make her feel better, but at least she knew that if he didn’t want her then he did not deserve her. There were those people that thought they deserved whatever they wanted, hell he had been one of them when he had first laid eyes on Mykayla, but that had changed. He still did not think that he deserved her in his life at all, but that was where he had changed. He was a good guy now. He was someone that wanted things and knew that he did not deserve to have them. Guys had a way of making a girl think one thing and do the opposite, and Brody had a feeling that was exactly what Greyson had done to her. The blonde boy knew how the two of them acted together, but to know that he had broken Kay’s heart was breaking Brody’s. She was too innocent for this and did not deserve to feel like this. That was why he kissed her forehead; she was sweet and she needed someone who would appreciate her. His heart was breaking, but then she had to go and spring something like this on him. How was he supposed to act to know that the one woman that meant a damn thing to him had cancer? Fear crept into his mind at the possibility of losing her, and it was something that he could not fathom. A world without Kay was hardly worth being in, and he could not speak. There were no words to explain how he had felt, which was why he pulled her tighter and felt her arms wrap around him. All he could think about was how he wished it had been him. She did not need this in her life, no one needed this. Brody refused to cry, even though he could feel the salty tears stinging in his eyes.
His question had a bit of sting to it, and it was not meant to. He could not get past the fact that she had known and this was the first time that she had felt the need to tell him. Yes, his heart was breaking and he was worried about the one person that he loved in his life. He closed his eyes as he listened to her answer and nodded his head. “At least you have been taking care of yourself.” He was still upset that she had not told him, but that was going to have to wait. He could be angry with her after she had fought and gotten rid of this. His voice pleaded with her needing to know what to do to make this better. He had never had to do this before, not even with a grandparent. All of his family was alive and healthy, but he could care less about them. The one person that did not need to be sick and possibly die was laying in his arms telling him that this was real. She had cancer and there was not a damn thing that he could do to protect her. Brody saw the tear roll down her cheek, and he moved his thumb to wipe it from her face. He still had a hold of her beautiful face trying to figure out how to make this better. Her lips met his, and there was too much emotion. It was enough to let a tear fall from his eyes, but it showed every emotion that the two of them could not say between them. Her fingers against his skin made this even worse; Brody was not good with emotions, much like her older brothers. He kept those feelings close to him and never express them. But this was Kay. Sweet Kay that he adored and she nodded knowing that he meant everything his pleading, breaking heart was saying in the words he spoke. “I will be where ever you tell me to be. I am going to stand by you forever, if you let me. I’m sorry that this is how I had to find out, because three months is a long time to hide this from me. But I will hold your hand through anything and everything that comes your way. I need you too Kay, more than you will ever know.” Brody laughed lightly to think that she ruined the afternoon was insanity. All he wanted was to hold her, and he watched as her eyes dropped from his again and spoke about his hunger. “You know what, I’m not hungry at all. What I would really like though, is just to hold you. I want to hold you, and I wish I could kiss this away for you. But for now, I think just holding you is going to have to work. Is that alright with you?” He kissed the top of her hair and pulled her close and let his fingers run the length of her side and arms. This was where he needed to be, just with her holding her and hoping to make this better for her.

Anyone that knew Mykayla Trent would tell you that she was the kindest, sweet young woman that you would ever have the good fortune of meeting. She was always looking at the glass half full, and had a sweet smile for everyone. She was overly generous, and selfless almost to a fault. She wasn’t the kind of girl that would never dream of hurting someone intentionally, and did whatever she could to spare the feelings of those that she loved and cared for. When she had discovered that she did have cancer, the first thing that Mykayla had wanted to do was run home to her parents because she was so scared of that one word and everything that came along with it. Tears had flooded those pretty blue eyes of hers on her drive home from the hospital that day as she was headed for the Trent Bed and Breakfast, wondering how she was ever going to look at her mom and dad and tell them that their little girl was sick. She had envisioned Marion’s face transforming, giving way to tears of fear and worry, but what had been worse was the image her imaginative mind had created for her father, Rob. Kay loved both of her parents, of course, but the idea of Rob Trent breaking down was scary in itself. He was a tough man, Mykayla having yet to see him cry in all her years, but she knew that this news would have reduced him to that. She couldn’t do that to them, not yet. She couldn’t hurt them that day and make their lives about her and her illness. That’s when she had decided that this would be her secret, all the while knowing it would be a difficult one to bear on her own.
Kade had been a tremendous help, and having him around to talk to and just know about it made things easier for the young blonde. She and her oldest brother had always been close, and he had been taking care of her throughout all of this. He took her to appointments and stayed with her when she had received a new round of treatment and was sick from it. Needless to say, she was as good as she was going to be at this point health wise thanks to her brother and the excellent care that he was providing her with. That was what had made it easier to hide it all for so long. There were days when she felt like she was literally going to die, but for the most part she was still feeling okay. As noted before, her weight had dropped, and her skin sometimes lacked that wonderful glow that she normally presented, but Kay was figuring out ways to make it seem as though nothing was wrong at all, and she had kept up the façade rather well. There were weak moments when she didn’t think that she could anymore, moments where she was ready to call it quits and throw in the towel, but in those moments she would think of how selfish she would be to do that to everyone. Kay was not selfish, and she could pull herself around in a complete one-eighty with that one thought. But, by going out of her way to try and not hurt people, was she really doing them any favors? How many of them would be upset with her for not telling them, or lying about her illness? Hopefully they would understand; with any luck, they would take into account Kay’s nature and know that she had only done it for what she had thought had been their own wellbeing.
She knew it was something that Brody was struggling with as they lie there in her bed. Mykayla knew this young man well, and she could recognize just the slightest tones in his voice that let her know that he was upset with her for waiting so long to tell him. Not telling him how she felt about someone else was very minor compared to this, though Kay knew that her situation with Greyson was also there in Brody’s mind as he held her close to his chest. She just wished that Grey was her biggest problem, because that was something she knew Brody could fix. If she asked him to, he would be with her again in a heartbeat and they both knew it. If she gave herself over to him, Kay didn’t doubt that he would have his ways of taking her mind off of her failed love, and ultimately win her heart over again. Who knows? Maybe it would be the old “third time’s the charm” trick and they could make it all work and she could forget about the heartache that she felt now. That would be a very dangerous game to play right now, though, and she didn’t dare ask, didn’t even entertain the thought, but she knew that would be so much easier than dealing with her and her stupid cancer. She didn’t want to be this sick, frail little girl that was lying there, crying and making him sad and worried for her. She wanted to be bright and fun, the way she always was before all of this had come crashing down on her. But, Kay had already said it, and Brody was already offering to do whatever he could to swoop in and save her, wiping away her tears and telling her that he was going to be there with her through it all.
It was so much to deal with all at once, and Mykayla felt like her heart was just…heavy. She wanted to forget that she had ever said anything and go back to how they had been before. Her way of trying to get there was offering to make Brody something to eat, knowing her boy well and knowing he would have worked up an appetite. There probably wasn’t a lot in her kitchen, but she knew that there had to be a frozen pizza or something in there that she could pop in the oven for him. Too bad Brody wasn’t interested, his eyes on her and his own needs pushed aside. He had to be hungry, but he insisted that he wasn’t and said all he wanted to do was to hold her, which was always going to be music to this girl’s ears. He asked if that was alright with her, and she offered him a genuine smile. “That sounds perfect,” she told him, her voice quiet but she gladly let Brody pull her in closer, letting her cheek rest against his chest as he kissed her hair, finding comfort in the sensation of his fingers running down the side of her body. There was nothing that either of them could do to fix this, but Kay thought that if anything was going to make her feel better right now, it was this. All she could hear was his heart beating, slower now than it had been before. She didn’t know how long that they stayed there like that, but eventually another thought came to her, one that she was sheepish to voice but it was Brody. “Will you stay with me? At least, until I fall asleep?” Mykayla didn’t know what his plans were for the rest of the evening or for the next day, but she wasn’t ready for him to leave anytime soon. “Or we don’t have to sleep,” she said, turning her head once again to look up at him with the faintest hints of a coy smile on her lips. “And we don’t have to keep being sad.” She moved out of his grasp just enough to place her hand gently at his face again, letting her thumb move from the corner of his lips and along his cheek, and back again until she got a little smile. “There it is. I’ve always loved that smile.” She was hoping to make up for the heartbreak that she had just served him, and maybe now they could take each other out of their heads and thoughts for a little while, though Kay knew that things would be different this time just from the way he was looking at her like she was literally going to disappear.

this post is tagged for mykayla michelle trent. it is dunzo and has one thousand one hundred and eighty three words. the one and only enrique iglasias contributed to this inspiration from the song hero . she is looking sick and sexified wearing that up there. this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes let me be your hero baby ______________________ Brody knew the logic behind what Mykayla had done, and he understood that in her own little way she had thought she was protecting the people she cared about. That was the problem, in this circumstance no one needed protected but her. She was the one going through the scary stuff, and how was anyone supposed to help her if they had no idea what was going on with her? Brody was scared and that was not going to go away, but he was also the kind of man that could put his feelings aside if he had too. He could not imagine a life without Mykayla in it, and that was what was terrifying him the most. She had the very real possibility that she could die, and if that was scaring him it sure as hell was worse for her. Something else that made him wonder was if she had told anyone in her family besides Kade, because if not that was something she was going to have to do. He knew that her family would be upset if they did not know about her illness, just like he was. He also knew that Kade Trent would be there to get her through the tough spots; something that Brody had wished he had been able to do. He loved this girl in his arms, and that was never going to change. No matter where their lives took them he would always love Kay. She was his first love, and the only woman who would have been able to make him a better man. He owed her so much of his life, and at the same time he could have fallen in love with her all over again. It was who they were, even if they never worked it was always the very real possibility of falling in love again. Hell third time was the charm right, but not now. Not knowing that she was actually in love with Greyson. That broke his heart in a whole other way.
The blonde man could not wrap that thought around his head. How could someone not want Kay? If she deemed you worthy of her love then it was something completely miraculous and you don’t spit on the angel that she was. This guy deserved to be miserable for the rest of his life for hurting her the way that he did, and Brody was there and willing to pick up the pieces of her broken heart. How could he had turned her down, but he also had no idea about her cancer. So he had no idea how much hurt her little body was going through. If it were just boy troubles that was something that he could fix. He knew that he loved her, and he knew above all that she loved him. It was something that he could pick up the broken pieces of her heart and put them back together. it was how he worked, but this was not the only hurt that she was going through. If he was able to take the cancer from her and bear it as his own, he would have done it. That was who he was, he would take a bullet for Kay and offer his own life for hers. He had few people that mattered to him, and she was the biggest part of him. She was the only person that he would really do it for that was not his family. Lainey was the only other person that he would die for, and Mykayla hurting like this just broke him into the million pieces that were keeping it together for her sake. If she had asked for him to take her back in that moment he would have. She knew that, and he half expected her too. He would hold her hand and get her through this the best way that he knew how. Even if she was not his, he would do it for her because of who she was.
This was a lot to take in at one time. He had heard about her love for someone else and then that she had cancer. It seemed like their lives could not get more complicated than they had in that moment. His heart was aching to make things better for her, but he knew that he couldn’t. He knew that it was impossible task, and he wanted nothing more than to forget that this news was there. Kay offered him food, but he was not ready to move. He wanted to hold her until everything was back to normal. So yes he was hungry, but his needs came last as opposed to what Kay needed. He knew that she needed held and told that everything was going to be okay. That was his job, and a job that he held tight. He was going to get her through this the only way that he knew how. When she answered his question it brought a weak smile to his lips and pulled her in even closer than they had been. Her head against his chest was where they belonged, safe and sound. Where no hurt or pain could touch them. They were in their bubble, and he would be damned to burst it if he didn’t have too. He heard her start to speak, and he smiled at her. She was so cute, and he could not help how he felt about her. in these moments he could fall in in love with her all over again. “Well, if you thought I was leaving you are insane. I am here until you tell me to leave Kay.” She turned her head towards him again and it sounded like she was propositioning him again. He saw that smile on her lips, and he knew that was exactly what she was saying. It was her way of forgetting everything that she had just told him. She wiggled out from his grasp just enough to touch her face, and she knew how to pull the smile out of him. Especially when the last thing he felt like doing was smiling. “And how do you suppose we go about not being sad, hmm? Because if you are suggesting that we repeat what we just did, then I think I could get into it. Trying to make me forget all the sad scary stuff. You know me too well for your own good Mykayla Trent.” He smirked at her, and pull her up to his lips. He was still scared and all of those other emotions that were in his heart, but he kissed her. Brody kissed her like his life depended on feeling her skin against his, that he would die if he stopped. He loved her so much, and though they were not together he knew he could tell her. He pulled back from her just enough to press his forehead to hers and whisper “I love you Mykayla. I always will.”
