As far as wedding went, this one had definitely been a good one. People would probably be surprised to know that Kaler Scott had actually attended a lot of these kinds of functions in the past, and not just as a wedding crasher either (though that did happen a time or two). Kaler had been adopted into a high class kind of world, and his mother was really into all the social events. She had drug him to weddings of all her closest friends from school that hadn’t gotten married in college like she had, showing off this dark haired boy as though he were her very own. Bethany Scott had been an amazing woman, while Kaler had hated having to dress up and remain clean and proper for that long, he had been willing to do anything and everything for his mother. As such, he had learned the proper etiquette, and those were lessons that had stuck with him later into life as he attended other events such as these. It seemed that everyone he had known in college had gotten married, and although Kaler didn’t remain close to many of his college friends, he had been in a lot of their weddings. Needless to say, this wasn’t his first time when it came to these things, but it was one of the first times that he could remember actually thinking that the marriage he was witnessing was actually going to last longer than six months. Jared and Miranda Trent were clearly one of those couples that were going to last, and Kaler had toasted them along with the rest of their friends and family wearing a smile on his lips.
The reception was going to be one hell of a party, as there was tons of alcohol ready for consumption and a good atmosphere to do it in. Kaler himself had just knocked back two shots, standing there in a small group that included his girlfriend, sister, Kade, and Hunter. They were all talking about how unbelievable it was that Jared was married, how gorgeous Randi looked, and a mixture of other odd and fun topics until Kaler excused himself after pressing a kiss to his girl’s cheek, winking at her and then disappearing across the room and heading in the direction of one Misses Randi Trent. “Just in case enough people haven’t told you this today, Randi, you look beautiful,” he said as he approached her, that signature Kaler Scott grin on his lips. “Think you can spare this dance for me?” He held his hand out to her, and after she took it they were out on the dance floor with a few other couples, and some friends that had decided to pair up for a song as well. Kaler held her tiny frame lightly in his hands, smiling down into Randi’s pretty face. “So…Cheap Trick was a good choice for your song. That was definitely a first.” And it was hardly traditional, but it had fit Randi and Jared so perfectly that it no one really questioned it after they got over the shock of hearing “I Want You To Want Me” coming from the sound system for the couple’s first dance.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott. it is dunzo and has six hundred and fifteen words. the one and only garth brooks contributed to this inspiration from the song the dance . randi is looking amazing in her wedding dress this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes kandi makes me happy <3 ______________________ There was one thing in this entire world that the brunette had wanted, and now she was standing around her wedding reception as the now Mrs. Jared Trent. She was off bouncing around from person to person offering her thank you’s for coming and holding the hand of her most amazing husband. That was something that she was completely obsessed with saying, and that was that she was married to Jared Trent. The only man who could ever keep her interest, and that was what she loved. The ceremony went better than the brunette could have ever asked for. Now she was done dancing around with Jared like an idiot to Cheap Trick causing trouble like she always did. They were hilarious, and Grams about had a heart attack whenever she heard the fast paced song come on the speakers for the couple’s first dance. That was them though, they were never conventional and everyone knew that. She was happy to hear everyone was having a good time, especially after the toasts. Everyone liked to say the nice things, and constant smiles were glued on everyone’s face. This was the moment that she had been dreaming about ever since she could remember, and it was made even better because it was with Jared at her side.
She watched as all of their friends drank and had a good time, and it was something that she was completely content with. Everyone knew that this was going to be the party of the century. It was one thing to live through a bachelorette party thrown by Amy and Zoey, but this was another situation entirely. She had Kade, Kaler, Jared and herself planning the party of the century. This was going to be the talk of the town for a long time. She was just standing at some table just chatting away with some of her friends. It was kind of an interesting situation to find herself fingers laced in a wedding gown. That was when a familiar voice made her head turn. A bright smile crossed her face whenever she saw Kaler. If there was one person that she had never expected to befriend it was Kaler Scott, but that was the difference. Randi was a sweetheart and she was friends with everyone. Her face was flushed whenever he said how beautiful she was; everyone seemed to be saying that and every time it made her cheeks turn bright pink. “You know, it’s always nice to hear it one more time. Especially if it is coming from you Kaler. “ Their friendship was something that she appreciated more than anything, and was thankful that he had found his way into her life. Listening to his offer, she looked at Jared and quickly kissed him. “Oh Kaler, I knew I wasn’t getting out of this reception without a dance from you.” She grabbed his hand and followed out to the dance floor. Feeling his hands against her tiny frame was just funny. Kaler was always so much taller than her, everyone was taller than the petite brunette. She was used to it, and that was what made her giggle a little bit as they danced. “Oh yeah, you know us. We never do anything conventionally. I’m surprised you got out of the church unscathed though. God really was doing me a favor. Apparently he really wanted you at my wedding, but I am really glad you can make time for me. I feel pretty important.” She knew that he would rather be dancing with Vidette but she was also so glad that they had become friends.

Just about everyone in this town had their own opinions on Kaler Scott, the young man that had blown into Arietta about two years ago and had been able to keep all of them on their toes, never knowing what kind of dumb ass stunt he was going to pull next. He was the local manwhore, heartbreaker, and manipulator, someone that shouldn’t be easily trusted and yet so many had fallen into the delicate trap that he had set over and over again. Only a few people had overlooked all of that and gotten to really know the young man as much as he allowed anyone to know him, and those were the people that he actually considered to be some of his closest friends he had had in life. Kaler still didn’t know what stroke of luck he had hit by having been discovered and practically adopted by the Trent family, but he was glad to have all of them in his life. Jared was his best friend, and he was also close with Kade and Hunter. Kaler had always been fond of Mykayla, awed by her kindness and how sweet she was. Amy, well, Amy was Amy and that was a different story completely. Having those people in his life was more than Kaler could have asked for, but he was extremely grateful that the Trent’s had given him another friend just by association. Miranda James had been attached to Jared’s side for as long as Kaler had known him, and she had seemed to be part of the package deal.
She had turned out to be another sweet, kind girl that Kaler would find a good friend in. She knew all of the horrible things that he had done recently, knew that he had that insane wild streak in him that sometimes got the better of him, and still passed no judgment. Needless to say, Kaler had a soft spot for Randi as well, and he would always be there for her as her friend. He was proud to be dancing with her at her wedding, happy for her and her new husband and the great life that they were about to start together. His comment on their choice of song brought a grin to his lips; no one should have expected anything less from this couple, who got engaged at New Year’s while half drunk, dancing on a bar. Of course they would pick a song like that to be their first dance as a married couple, dancing around like idiots and inviting everyone else to join in on the fun. That had been the first sign that this was going to be one hell of a party. He did have to laugh lightly at her comments on him getting out of the church unharmed, and Kaler continued to smile as she said that she felt special because he had made this time for her. “Yeah, I survived the wedding. Let’s see if I can make it through the reception.” There had already been some moments where the underlying tension could be felt, like water pressing up against a dam that was about to break. It was amazing it had lasted this long though, really. “Of course I would make time for the bride. Besides, I’m sure Vidette was ready to get a break from me.” The couple had been having a great time so far, but Kaler knew that Shayne was around here somewhere and that she and her friend wouldn’t get to see each other if Kaler were anywhere in the picture. “And let’s face it, you couldn’t have your perfect wedding until got your daily dose of Kaler.” He winked playfully at her as they continued to dance.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott. it is dunzo and has seven hundred and fifty two words. the one and only garth brooks contributed to this inspiration from the song the dance . randi is looking amazing in her wedding dress this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes kandi makes me happy <3 ______________________ Miranda Trent was the girl that was friends with everyone, and even the people that were years older than her. The cute new freshman had made quite the impression on Jared Trent, and ever since that fateful day she was a permanent fixture in not only Jared’s life but everyone around him. The entire family had welcomed the new girl in town like she was one of their own. So it was no surprise that she spent a lot of with Jared’s best friend Kaler Scott. Miranda had heard everyone’s stories about the manwhore of Arietta, but she was one of the few that had not fallen for his ways. Then again her eyes had only ever been on her now husband. Kaler and Randi were similar in a lot of aspects, because they both had pasts that they were not all that anxious to talk about, and then again they were just a surprising pair. She also knew that if Kaler had been around whenever her father had made his appearance back in the day, the man she was now dancing with would have been there to protect her. It was surprising to know that she had this great support system around her now, whenever she had never had it before.
The bride knew everything about the boy that there was to know. After their talk over messenger it was kind of ironic that they had so much in common. Although, they were total opposites she was also the woman that did not judge. Kaler did a lot of crazy screwed up stuff that happened, but he was still a good man. He was funny and just made her life that much brighter. She knew that Kaler was happy for Jared and herself, because the two of them were meant to be together. Kaler was there every step of the way, even being in arms distance whenever Jared had proposed to her. It seemed like the man before her was always around her life, and she was pretty happy about it. The married couple loved doing things in their own little way, which was why they danced around like idiots and knocked back a few drinks with the family. Miranda Trent knew that there was going to be a lot of partying and that not many people would be remembering the reception. She was able to tease Kaler like it was no body’s business and taunting him about getting to the church and making it out alive. “Yeah the reception might be a little more difficult. I will kick some ass if I have to for you, but I would rather not ruin my dress. So please, please, please don’t do anything stupid.” She smirked at him, knowing that if something happened it was more than likely not going to be his fault. At least not his fault that it happened at the reception, but Jared and herself had a bet that it was either going to be Shayne or Izzy that started it. “Awe, I knew we were friends for a reason! Why would she want a break from you? I mean she didn’t even get to stand by you in the wedding. OH! never mind, I get it.” She realized that Vidette probably just wanted to spend some time with Shayne, the girl that absolutely hated Kaler. Randi had to laugh at Kaler, because he was the dork that happened to be her very good friend. “Oh Kaler, this is very true. I would be very sad and disappointed if you wouldn’t have spared a dance with me. You know you better keep your hands up where Jared can see them. We don’t need a jelly belly husband on our hands, since I am one of the woman that you can never have.” Combined with his wink, Randi was busting up laughing because she was completely crazy. She ended up put her head against Kaler’s shoulders from laughing so hard. “I am so glad we are friends! My life would be so boring without you to entertain me.” Her eyes looked up at him and then kissed him on the cheek. Kaler was one of her best friends, and it was the most awkward relationship in the world. It was what helped her get through the awkwardness that was her. Randi was just thankful that they were this awesome as friends..

Kaler had been in and attended several weddings, but he really had no idea what all went into the planning of them. He was good at planning the bachelor parties and making the wedding receptions something to be remembered, but the actual ceremony and getting all the shit together was well beyond him. He had witnessed some of what his old buddies from college had had to do as a groom, and had paid attention to some of Jared’s mindless wedding babble on a couple of occasions. Basically, from what Kaler had gathered from all of them was that planning a wedding was no small feat, and planning one that was as fantastical as this one was usually took months if not up to a year to pull together and make flow the way that a good, well laid out wedding should. What Randi and Jared had been able to do in just one month was amazing; any wedding planner in the business would be in awe at this, because it had all been beautiful and had gone down without a hitch. And Randi had even managed to do it while still attending classes and making time for her new husband on top of all of that. Jared had been working extra shifts at all hours to be able to have some extra money saved up for them, and it honestly moved Kaler to see how dedicated they both were to this, and how much everyone had pitched in to make sure Randi and Jared got their perfect day.
He just hoped that it continued that way. So far, everyone had been behaving and playing nicely with everyone else, but it was easy to see that there were rough times ahead if the wrong people got put together in this crowd. The tension could almost be felt, was definitely felt by those who recognized it and knew what it all meant, and it was just going to take the slightest little push for all hell to break loose here tonight. Kaler knew that he was at the center of a lot of that unwanted drama, and he was trying his best to be a good boy and not ruin this for Rand, hence why he had come over and danced with her and allowed his girlfriend an easy way of sneaking off to be with her friend Shayne. “If I go and do something stupid, it’s going to be because there really was no other way around it,” he said, smiling as his sarcasm tinged that comment. After all, Kaler wasn’t the one that was going to go out looking for trouble tonight, but trouble was undoubtedly going to find him if the circumstances were right. He had to chuckle at the idea of her kicking someone’s ass in this big wedding dress, though. That would definitely be a sight to see. Randi was then catching onto what Kaler had said before about letting Viddy get a break from him, and discovering one of the reasons why she might have to kick some ass or have him kicked out of the reception. It could really go either way. But things with Randi were very light and easy in conversation, them joking about Kaler’s hands and him arching an eyebrow at the suggestiveness of that idea.
Kaler smiled as she said that she was glad that they were friends, accepting that kiss on the cheek while debating a point with himself inside his head. Then he decided what the hell? “Yeah, well you haven’t even learned the best part about being friends with me.” He was sure that she was expecting some smart ass comment now, but Kaler had switched modes as they still continued to dance to their song. “I was going to wait and tell you both together, but you’re here, Jared’s there,” Kaler nodded, them both looking to see Jared had stripped out of his coat and was tossing back a shot with Kade. “Anyway, you and Jared are two of the closest friends I’ve ever had, and you two deserve every good thing in life, Randi. And I know Jared had said something about waiting on going on a proper honeymoon…but I took care of that for you.” His smile was soft and sweet, a side of Kaler Scott that only friends like Randi got to experience. “How do you think Jared is going to feel about spending two weeks in the Caribbean?” Of course, Kaler had had his friend in mind, but he had also had Charlie do some snooping and discovered that would be a destination that Randi would love too.

this post is tagged for kaler ryan scott. it is dunzo and has eight hundred and seventy words. the one and only garth brooks contributed to this inspiration from the song the dance . randi is looking amazing in her wedding dress this template was created by the amazing amber you steal it and there will be an angry baby who will eat your brains no joke. additional notes oh captain jack! ______________________ One of the many talents of the tiny bride was her ability to make anyone feel uncomfortable. She knew that from the beginning of her entire relationship with Jared, and it was kind of obvious that it carried over into her life with everyone. Hell putting her wedding together in a months time had been uncomfortable. Randi had the fact that her semester had just started, and that her classes were actually kicking her ass day in and day out. On top of that craziness she had the ever pressing issue of wanting to spend every moment, whether awake or asleep, with the man that she absolutely adored more than anything else in her life. The wedding had taken over most of their time whenever the brunette was not buried in a book. She loved her life, and she loved her husband even more than that. These next few years were going to be a constant struggle to balance the college life and the life that she wanted with her husband. It was something that she appreciated more than anything, because not only did she have the support of Jared but all of their friends stood behind her.
Most of their friends looked at their relationship and envied it, and she knew that. When Randi was growing up, this was the kind of something that she needed. She had never seen a relationship work in her life, so she was going to make this work if her life depended on it. Tonight though, tonight was going to be a celebration of how the two most perfect people are beginning to start their life together. So her celebration in this moment was dancing with one of her very best friends. The one person that may actually be as dark and twisty as herself, and in more than one way. The brunette was teasing Kaler like it was her job, which actually was one of her many jobs. Something that she got extreme pleasure out of doing, and knowing that this was going to happen just made a smile play on her lips. Miranda Trent was not above throwing people out of her reception. This was her party and she would be a bitch if she had too, and she was also completely set on protecting the people that she cared about. She would kick someone’s ass if they really tried to do anything to Kaler; the bride was actually extremely protective over her friends. She smirked at him whenever he said he was going to be on his best behavior unless it was absolutely unavoidable. “I know you won’t. Because you love me, and know that I will not only be kicking the ass of whomever started it, but yours too.” The two of them really were a pair, and everyone knew and understood the friendship that was between the two of them.
Everything between the two of them was light and airy, and she was truly happy that he was able to spare a dance with her. Sure things were bound to happen and she knew that she was going to be having a wonderful time, even if she was kicking people out of their party. That was why she was just happy dancing around being a smartass and spending time with the people that meant anything in her life. Smiling up at Kaler, she cocked an eyebrow at him at his next suggestion. “ There is more than just your charming personality and good looks? So what is this best part?” She was so puzzled by the way he was acting. Instead of being a smartass, he was being cute. He was going to tell her something, but wanted to tell her and Jared together? What was this craziness that was beginning to come from the older man’s lips? She let her body sway to their song, and then he spoke again. Miranda’s eyes widened, completely shocked. Not that the two of them were his closest friends, because anyone that knew Kaler knew where the married couple stood on his friends list, but he was talking crazy talk. “Kaler, you cannot be serious about this? We don’t have the money, and neither do you. That is just crazy talk to suggest it.” The smile that was on his lips though really suggested that he was completely serious about this suggestion of his. A bright smile crossed the brunette’s lips when the suggestion of the Caribbean was spoken. Jared always loved the idea of hunting Captain Jack Sparrow, and that was something that the brunette would never be able to turn down that offer. “Kaler, you know that he is going to come back thinking that he is Captain Jack, right? Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me.” Randi let her arms wrap tight around him in a hug that said every word that she could not say to him. She was so extremely grateful, and she could not wait to tell Jared that he was going to get to spend time on a beach with a bunch of rum.

It was a little known fact in these parts that Kaler Scott had a rather large amount of money to his name. After all, his life in Arietta didn’t differ much from those around him. His house was standard, not overly large and just the right size for him, his sister, and Dani to occupy comfortably. Yes, he had a nice car, but there were other people around here that were also driving newer, sharper vehicles as well. Kaler didn’t boast or brag and he didn’t spend his money just to impress people. Working as a bartender and looking like your average middle class citizen allowed people to assume that that was exactly what he was. What most of them didn’t realize was that Kaler came from a family that had consisted of a southern heiress and a wealthy business man who both ran highly profitable businesses. Even with the economy the way it was and most of the financial statuses for the future were uncertain, Kaler and his family would be perfectly fine if they didn’t lift a single finger for the rest of their lives. And whatever Kaler spent was replaced rather quickly, plus some. He had a pretty easy life that way, and he was more than willing to spend that money on a good cause when he saw one arise. Helping his friends have the perfect honeymoon? Well, that was a damn good cause.
Kaler knew that this was something that Randi wouldn’t have seen coming, and he loved the idea of actually getting to surprise her with this. He had heard Jared say that he and Randi would wait until summer to do something as a belated honeymoon, as that would give them time to save up some money and become a little more financially stable, but that just seemed sad. They shouldn’t have to wait, and Kaler had known right then and there what his gift for his friends was going to be. He saw Randi’s eyes widen as he told her what this other benefit was of being his friend, he really had to resist the urge to roll his icy blue eyes at her when she said that he didn’t have the money to spend on something like that. Of course he did, and he was glad that he had. Seeing the smile that came to her lips made it all well worth it. And yeah, Kaler had thought that Jared would definitely appreciate the location because of his crazy obsession with Captain Jack Sparrow and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Kaler had chuckled at the very idea when he had called his travel agent and arranged the whole thing, knowing that Randi would be in for an adventure with her new husband when they arrived at their honeymoon destination. She thanked him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which Kaler really had no choice but to return. “You’re welcome, sweetheart. It’s my wedding gift for you guys, and everything is taken care of.” Travel expenses, hotel, everything. Kaler had gone above and beyond, he supposed, but this trip was entirely on him. He pulled back from their embrace with that familiar grin on his lips now. “You just take care of our boy and try to bring him back in one piece.” And by that he meant to take it easy on the boy when she discovered how great sex was, and not to strangle him when he wore out the Captain Jack quotes.
