ALYSON COLLEEN COOK :: TWENTY :: COLLEGE FRESHMAN
Background: Alyson was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. However, she only lived there until the age of three before her family moved to the northeast. Alyson grew up in Burlington, Vermont. Either way she grew up in the mountains and was always a snow bird. She began skiing at the age of five and continues to do so today. Aly was born to a nurse and a store manager whom was promoted to a position with the company based in Vermont, thus the reason for the family's move. Alyson's mother died from a skiing accident when Aly was fourteen and she still has trouble coping. She and her father have been getting along well on their own, except that Alyson took on many of her mother's responsibilities. She was a straight-A student in school, but after her mother's death her grades fell and she began hanging out with a reckless crowd and getting into trouble. She managed to keep her grades at passing, but many of her teachers voiced their concern, which she ignored. In her senior year, Alyson got into real trouble when her promiscuous nature got her pregnant. Afraid of what her father might say, she tried to hide it and considered having an abortion. However, her own morals got the better of her so she carried the child to full term. Her father wasn't as much angry as disappointed in the change that overtook his daughter. When the baby was born, a girl, she put her up for open adoption. The couple that adopted her daughter lived in Maine, about three hours from Burlington so Aly was able to visit as much as she pleased. At first it was hard to see her child with another family, but she eventually accepted it. Since her daughter was born, Alyson has cleaned herself up. She isn't completely back to her old self, but she is trying her best to make her father proud of her again. Alyson finally entered college this past year. She enrolled in the University of Maine for various reasons, but the main one being that the campus was close to her daughter's adoptive parents and with most of her time occupied by school, studying, and working, she had less time to drive six hours, both ways. Now, she is only half an hour.
Personality: Alyson is a friendly person once you get to know her, but is a bit quiet from the off. She isn't the type of person to talk much unless she has something worthwhile to say. She can get a little loud and rowdy after a few drinks, but most people are like that. She'll be friendly with anyone when she is drunk...sometimes a little too friendly. when she is sober though, Alyson enjoys just hanging out with her friends. She loves to be in the company of other people rather than by herself, but of course there are times when she does need the quiet. She is an active and athletic person. Skiing, horseback riding, tennis, and jogging are just a few of her favorite past-times. More recently, she has become absorbed in her studies, determined to fix all that she messed up in high school. It was by sheer miracle she was accepted into a four-year college at all and she is determined to show the school it was the right choice. Alyson also doesn't like to mention the fact that she has a daughter to people. What they don't know won't kill them. However, she makes sure her daughter is also a large part of her life (and vice-versa). Alyson is sure to have a solid group of friends because she is always willing to help people who need it and enjoys the company of others in general. She tries not to judge people from her first encounter with them, but sometimes it's difficult. Because she is an outdoorsy-sporty girl, she would tend to have really good guy friends. However, she isn't really looking into romances at the moment. With school and the fact that her last boyfriend gave her a daughter, she doesn't feel that a relationship is a good idea for the time being. That isn't to say she's off limits, just that she would be a bit more difficult to, let's say "court." Even though she is a friendly and helpful person, Alyson can have a temper. Any enemies she might obtain could be from her hot head. Alyson is also the jealous type. this doesn't necessarily mean seeing a crush with another girl. She can get jealous of the things other people have. Like better grades or ... anything really. She can be rather sensitive about certain subjects.R E L A T I O N S H I P S
