Things in Miranda James’ life has not been easy over the past couple weeks. She was trying so very hard to get the wedding plans together for her very special day with one Jared Trent. She had been wrapped up in trying to find the perfect dress and that is one of the many things that she was doing that afternoon. She was thinking of what she really wanted with the style and all of that, but what bothered her the most was that most girls wanted was her mother their on the day that she picked out the wedding dress. Randi on the other hand wanted absolutely nothing to do with her parents, considering her father was an abusive asshole and her mother was an enabler. Living with Grams had been the best thing to happen to her, and she was thankful that she had taken her in. It also did not hurt that Grams was one of the only people that the brunette actually trusted. She was also one of the only people that truly cared about the brunette as she walked from the bridal shop. Grams had told her to get whatever dress that her little heart desired.
If there was one thing that Miranda had always wanted was the perfect princess dress. She looked at several dresses, but nothing had truly caught her and made her heart flutter. There was one other shop in the town, but that was not where she was heading that afternoon. No this afternoon after the dress hunting was meant to be something special. Every since Kade Trent had left Arietta last year, she had kept in touch with him. He was the only one of the brothers, besides her fiancee, that was genuinely protective over her. He always took care of her, and he listened to her incesent babble about Jared and how positively stupid he was. Kade put up with a lot of shit from her, but he was one of the few people that she trusted with her life. He had impacted her, and she was surprised above all else that he had decided to keep in touch with her. Out of everyone that could have kept the boy in the loop, she knew that it was herself, his parents, and Mykayla that he had bothered to really talk to while he was away. Randi really viewed Kade as her very own big brother, and she was thankful to have him in her life.
That was why she was heading towards the apartment that Kade and Jared shared. She knew that Jared had to work that afternoon, also the reason that she had gone wedding dress shopping. It was also the reason she was heading down to visit Kade. She had a very important question that she needed to ask him, and she did not need Jared there to try and pressure him into doing it. This was going to have to entirely be Kade’s decision, and she was just going to put it out there. Randi had been thinking about this since the day that Jared proposed to her, and it was something that was not going to get out of her mind until she asked. The question she needed to know was who was going to walk her down the aisle and give her away. Her father would never set foot near her again, and she told him that. When she had turned eighteen she told her parents to never talk to her again, and that Grams was the only person that she wanted in her life from the family. Grams had raised her and taken care of her. That was what she wanted, so it was her grandmother that was with her when she would buy her dress if she ever made a freaking decision. She smiled as she made her way down to the little apartment she had recently been spending way too much time in.
Randi was dead set on having Kade walk her down the aisle because she could see no one else doing it. Kade was the only person that she looked up to, even though she may not exactly agree with every decision that he had ever made, but he was Kade. He was the one that stood by her bedside whenever Jared had gone home after getting her appendix out. He was the one that she could count on, and he had protected her from her father the one time he had visited. Kade was the only person who could fill those shoes; she just hoped that he could see that like she did. When she knocked on the door her face was glowing as a smile was plastered to her face. This was happening, she was really going to marry Jared, and she was really going to have the perfect wedding. Grams had said that she had been saving to give her grand-daughter everything that she dreamed of, and her wedding was the one thing that she was determined to do. So she waited with her hands in her coat pockets smiling at the doorstep until she actually had the nerve to knock on the door. She saw Kade and was immediately smiling brighter when she greeted him. “Hey big brother, you aren’t too busy are ya? I have something kind of really important to ask you.”
and she was really hoping that he was not busy entertaining anyone at the moment because this was a big thing in Miranda James’ life and she needed him to be a part of it.[/blockquote] _______________________________ tagged for : kade // mercy

Kade needed to stay off of the damned computer; he knew that. He knew that he shouldn't be reading horror stories and stories of miraculous recoveries, because those were worst and best case scenarios that he shouldn't think about or hope for. But the internet was right there, and if you punched in a phrase into Google, it gave you all the answers you could hope to find. However, some of those answers were scary, and some of them were too truthful. This was doing nothing to improve his day. Kade had taken off early that morning, going to Mykayla's house to pick her up and then drive. It was what they did anymore, always taking off on missions that no one else was involved in or really knew anything about. They had been up to this since Kade had arrived back in Arietta, and it was truly a miracle that no one had questioned them about it yet. They just figured that it was big brother number one spending time with little sister number one, as Kade and Mykayla had always had a special bond and understanding among the Trent siblings. That wasn't to say that Kade didn't love the others as much, or that Mykayla wasn't as fond of her other brothers and sister, but they had always been closer and Kade looked out for Kay always. That was why he was home, despite what so many others thought. He was here for his sister, promising to take care of her and keep her secret but that promise seemed daunting most days. He had always swore that he would never let anything happen to any of his siblings, but this? This was out of his control and it killed him to acknowledge that.
A heavy sigh passed through his lips as he closed the laptop, forcing himself away from all of that and out of his room in the one story house that he shared with kid brother Jared. He had dropped Kay off at her house earlier, and she had said that she was going to go back and take a nap before trying to get another start on the day. Kade wanted to call and check on her, make sure she was alright and see if she had gotten sick anymore, but if he woke her up while she was sleeping he would feel terrible. So instead, Kade went out to the kitchen and made himself a ham sandwich to snack on, grabbing a Mr Pibb from the fridge and taking it all back into the living room with him and sitting down in front of the TV. There probably wouldn't be anything great on, but at least it would be noise, something to partially distract him. God knew that the twenty-five-year-old had enough on his mind, if it wasn't his sister then it was just...everything else. He had known from the time that he drove passed the city limit sign of Arietta that his life was about to get really difficult, but that was partially his own doing. He had been the one to leave, and he did deserve all the harsh treatment that he had gotten for it. He just wished that it wasn't all piling up at once, one thing after another after another that made the weight that he was already always carrying on his shoulders seem even more impossible to bear.
Jared wasn't home that afternoon, as he had picked up an extra shift down at the marina to earn a little extra cash. It was understandable; the boy was about to get married and it was going to be the event of the year from what Kade had heard of the planning for it. Not only that, but they were going to need to get a place of their own to live in very soon and that would require an even bigger amount of money. Jared didn't even care, though. He would work all through the day and night if that's what it took to make his wife-to-be happy, and while his happiness was enough to make a cynical person sick to their stomach, Kade was happy for him. Jared had turned out to be a good man, and Miranda was Jared's perfect match. Theirs was a love that would last, and Kade had no doubts about that. It was just going to be very quiet around here without little brother number one around, which Kade could admit that he was looking forward to, but at the same time kind of dreading. He had found out on his year departure from this town that he could be an excellent loner, but it wasn't preferred. He had missed the activity and the noise, and Kade was the over protective kind of brother that he just felt better if he knew where at least one of his siblings was. He could always talk Hunter into moving in. Now there was a thought... But before Kade could get much further on that thought there was a knock at the door. He pulled himself up off of the couch and went to answer it, opening the door only to find the girl that was marrying his brother standing there with a bright smile on that gorgeous face of hers.
Was he too busy? Ha, that was kind of funny, considering he had just been sitting there and thinking about what he was going to do when Jared was gone. If he had nothing better to think about than Jared, then you knew that there was a total and complete lack of anything going on in Kade's life (or, you know, anything that he would let himself think about at this point). "Hell no. I'm never too busy for you, babe. Come on in." He smiled at her as well, stepping aside and letting Randi into the house and also helping her off with her coat. "What's this really kind of important question you have to ask me?" he asked, hazel eyes on her and that smile still on his lips as they moved toward the living room, Randi knowing to make herself at home here by now even when Jared wasn't around. She and Kade had always been close like that, and comfortable enough with each other to just hang out. "If it's about moving in here after you and Jared are hitched, my answer is going to have to be a no. These walls are thin and I don't do earplugs." His grin widened as he joked with the little bride-to-be. He was really only half joking, though. The walls were extremely thin, and Kade had thing about his ears to where earplugs were just a big no. He didn't really expect the newlyweds to be moving in with him, of course. Randi was just fun to pick on.

If there was one thing that Miranda James had been looking forward to her entire life. Ever since she could remember she had been wanting to plan this amazing wedding that was going to be wonderful and gorgeous. It had been her dream since she was a little girl, especially since her father decided it was okay to start beating his seven year old daughter. It was nothing that she had ever wanted, and having all of these ideas floating around in her head for thirteen years was something that she had never imagined putting into practice in such a short time. But this was Randi, she had these ideas and that was what was going down on paper. The town had already been buzzing about how amazing this wedding was going to be, and with the help of her amazing bridal party it was going to be. Everyone had been doing the little things to help like the snowflake centerpieces with the floating candles and all that jazz. The girls were amazing, and that is what had taken her dress scouting that afternoon. She had already picked the girl’s dresses, now it was just to decide on the one that she wanted for herself. It was becoming more and more clear that she wanted something a little more sophisticated, and the one with the silver in it seemed perfect. So there were a few minor details that needed to be taken care of which was why she was there on Kade and Jared’s doorstep.
She had never wanted her father as part of her life, especially since she had moved to Arietta. The bastard had come to visit once which had ended up with Randi bawling her eyes out and a complete nutcase that day. It had also ended up with her telling Kade everything that had happened and he stood up to her dad. He was the only one that she could trust like that and the only one who could fill the shoes to walk her down the aisle. It had been something she had been thinking about since his younger brother had proposed to her, and that is why she was there. But when he opened the door she was so happy to see him. He warmed her heart to the very core of her being, and she was even more happy that he was around for her to lean on. Kade was one of the few people that knew how she had ended up in Arietta, but he was also one of the only people that knew her deepest darkest secrets. She had only ever told Kade and Jared about her dad beating her and why she lived with Grams.
But when her future brother opened the door she was even happier that he was really home. She figured that he would be, but she was glad to see a smile strike his lips as he answered her. “Really, never to busy for me, eh? You might not want to tell me all of these things because I will use it to my advantage.”
She spoke as she entered the house. It was something she had not given any thought about considering that she was preoccupied with the whole wedding. Now that she was in their little home, she figured that she was going to need to get a place for Jared and herself to live after the wedding, and sure enough Kade had that thought all planned out. She laughed lightly whenever he mentioned her asking if she could move in there. It was really funny for her to think about, because it would be a first. So far Kade had never had to worry about what went on behind Jared’s closed bedroom door, because she was not that girl. She had not slept with anyone, so she could not imagine what her reaction would be during it. “Actually, I had not even began to think about where we were going to live. So nope, that is not the question but is very good to know that you don’t do earplugs. What are you going to do without me and Jared around to keep you company though? And no that wasn’t my question either.” By this time Randi had made her way over to the couch eying up all the food that Kade had on the table. She kind of laughed, but then looked at that sandwich and took a bite. She smiled at Kade brightly as she handed it over to him. The two of them had always been close, so it did not matter that Jared was not around. She knew so much about Kade, and was glad that he thought enough of her to keep in touch while he had been away for a year. She much rather preferred to hang out with Kade as opposed to just about all the other Trent’s besides Jared of course. But then again Kay had her own little place in Randi’s heart. But she sat there trying to think of how to word this amazing question she was about to ask him. “Alright, so this question is kind of important for the wedding. But I kind of really look up to you, and you have always been there for me in a way that I could never be more thankful for. You have been my overly protective big brother, and I would love for you to be the one to walk me down the aisle. So please Kade, it would mean so much to me, but I only want you to do it if you want to. It is no pressure or anything.” Randi was just surprised she got that question out without crying like a little baby, but there was a tear that slid gently down her cheek because she really wanted this. It was a happy tear, but she wiped it away and sat there staring at Kade hoping that his answer was going to be yes. [/blockquote] _______________________________

There was something about Miranda James that was totally and completely irresistible. She just had this way about her that made her impossible not to love, not to want to know; she reminded Kade a lot of Mykayla in that way, both girls so kind and fun and gracious that no one could resist their charms. Jared had come home that day from high school with what he had considered to be the best news in the history of ever. There was a new girl at school, and he had talked about her all evening. Of course, the rest of the Trent clan had humored him, as it was Jared and he always talked like this when he met someone that he just thought was fantastic. Miranda seemed to have immediately secured a place in Jared's heart, and most everyone had thought that the boy had a giant crush on her and that he would waste no time in making her his. However, it turned out that the two were only just friends, but Kade never bought it. From the moment he himself had had the pleasure of meeting Randi, he knew that she was going to be something special. It was just the way that she interacted with Jared, both of them like oversized children that loved to have fun and simply enjoyed life, that seemed to make them the perfect pair. If they hadn't ended up together in the end, Kade was going to give up all hope for love in this world. If a couple like them couldn't make something work between them, then no one could.
But, it hadn't all been about Jared and Randi. Randi had bonded well with all of the members of the Trent family, Kade included. It seemed like it took no time at all for him to think of her as like another baby sister, him always looking out for her and knowing that he would do anything for her that he could. Kade normally didn't find himself opening up and accepting people like he did Randi, but she was a pleasant surprise to find, and Kade couldn't even imagine not having her as a friend in life now. When he had left a little over a year ago, Randi was one of the few that he made sure that he stayed in touch with. Kade had been intent on dropping off the face of the planet for a while, at least to the people or Arietta, but he hadn't been able to completely abandon the people that he had left behind him there. He had had to stay in contact, making at lease one call a month to his parents, but Randi, along with Mykayla, were the ones that he spoke to the most. He needed them to be his eyes and ears for him while he had been away, letting him know how things were going with everyone and making sure that all was well, or as well as it was ever going to be. But, of course, he talked to them because he missed them, too. Kade was very much a family and friend oriented kind of man, and although he had turned his back on someone that meant the world to him, he couldn't do that with everyone as though they hadn't even mattered. He was glad to have been able to keep up with Randi and to have her as a friend when he returned to his hometown, and he was glad to see that despite all the hard feelings people were harboring for the young man, she was still willing to be his friend as well.
He could only smile as she entered the house, Randi saying that she might just use his words against him and to her advantage. That was completely okay by Kade. She was a top priority kind of friend, and she knew that Kade would drop whatever it was that he was doing if he had to to be able to to help her out. She laughed at his comment about not allowing her and Jared to live there after they were married, but Kade was afraid he was going to have to draw a line there. He and Jared had a rule about that, and they both abided by that as a common courtesy to each other seeing as the walls of their home were actually very thin. Snoring was even an issue, so Kade could imagine housing the newlyweds. "What are you going to do without me and Jared around to keep you company though? And no that wasn't my question either." Kade half shrugged those broad shoulders of his. "I don't know. I was thinking about asking Hunter to move in because his apartment is a hell hole if I ever saw one, but Mykayla makes a much better roommate." Of course, she would not only make the better roommate out of the two, but Kade had other reasons for wanting to keep his sister close to him. If she were living with him, then he would be able to monitor her more closely and be there to help her when things got worse, because they were going to get worse as treatment progressed. But, no one would need t know that detail just yet, and as far as anyone knew, Kade would just be the kinder older brother that would offer his sister Jared's old room to spare her from trying to make rent on her tiny house she had found across town. As for Hunter, well, he was just shit out of luck.
Then they were sitting down on the couch, Randi reaching over and stealing a bite of the sandwich that Kade had prepared for himself earlier. It was cute how at home she was here with him, and how comfortable they each could be. And Kade didn't care at all that Randi had helped herself to his food, though had it been Jared or Hunter you could bet that all hell would have broken loose. Kade wasn't selfish, and would give anything that he had to his siblings if they needed it, but it was fun to pick and raise a little hell with them. Just like how Jared had eaten all of Kade's Froot Loops not too long ago, and Kade had responded by tossing Jared out of his bedroom window. It had only been a one story drop, and they were both able to look back on that laugh now. Anyway, Randi had an important question to ask Kade, and he sat there now with his attention fully on her as she took her time in getting to the point of the matter. Her words were very touching, though, but he had never expected her to ask him to walk her down the aisle and giver her away at her wedding. Kade knew that her father was not in the picture, as he had been the one to make that very clear to the man the one time he had decided to show up in Arietta to see Randi. Kade didn't accept abuse in any form, and he sure as hell wasn't going to allow that man to lay a hand on someone as good and pure as Randi. Kade hadn't even thought of that as Randi and Jared had planned their wedding, but it seemed that Randi had had this in mind from the start. Kade's smile softened. "Randi, what makes you think that there is any reason in this world that I wouldn't want to give my little sister away at her wedding?" How could she possibly dream that he would turn her down? "Hell yeah I'll do it." Kade scooted closer to her then and took her up in his arms for a hug, something that he didn't offer to just anyone. "It's just a damn shame I have to give you to Jared, of all people. I might have to run away with you," he teased as he held her those few moments, but then pulled back and looked down into her pretty face. "But I'm glad you're finally getting everything you wanted. You deserve it." And he meant that with all of his big old heart that precious few got to see.

Things had always come easy for Miranda around the entire Trent family. She had never imagined her life without them from the time she met them. Kade Trent however had been the best friend that she had besides Jared. Kade always looked out for her and it was something she appreciated more than anything else. He had managed to keep in contact with her while he was out of town, and she had been his eyes and ears around the town while he was away. It has also been the two of them, but it was probably because she was like his little sister. She was so similar to Kay that it was a wonder that she had not become friends with Kay over Jared. But then again, if she had not been friends with Jared, then she would not be here asking Kade if he would walk her down the aisle. So she sat on the couch eating his sandwich, and she knew that if it had been anyone else they would not have made out with their hands. This was Randi they were talking about, so it was easy for her to laugh about it. She knew just how she could away with practically anything in Kade’s heart. He was her big brother.
She was really worried about him and what was going to happen to him after Jared left. Kade was good at being a loner, she knew that much. It was just how he was, but she also knew that he would much rather spend time with his brothers and sisters. It was amazing to realize that in a few short weeks she would literally be his little sister, coming in as baby sister number 2. Amy being the only one behind her. It was so strange to think that she was the that much younger than everyone else. She smiled thinking about what he was going to do. Randi knew that Hunter lived in a shit hole, but she also knew that Kade had been catering to Kay lately, and it was something she loved about him. If any of them had needed him he was there. It was how he worked, so she was glad that he loved her like a kid sister. “Yeah Hunter would think that this is a palace compared to that shit hole he is living in now. But Kay is definitely the better roommate, and I suggest going with that. Besides, it’s Kay. We love her to pieces, and I would be much happier if she was in Jared’s old room than Hunter. He would contaminate it.”
She laughed at the thought of Hunter being in Jared’s old room. It was going to be a change sharing a home and a life with someone, but this was a step she wanted. A step that she had been waiting forever to take. She had just a few more things to do on her wedding to do list, but this was by far the biggest thing she had to do. She needed her big brother to be as excited about this as she was. Randi needed him to say yes, because she could never imagine someone else doing it. He had protected her from everything that could have possibly gone wrong in her life. She loved him for that, but it was something that she needed. “Well, maybe you just didn’t want to walk down the aisle with me, but now that you put it that way Kade....You really view me as another little sister already? When did you start doing this, hmmm? And have I mentioned that I am really really glad that you are back home?” She was truly thankful that he had come home, and that his next answer was indeed what she had been so waiting for. The smile that had been on her lips was now even wider as he said that he was happy to do it. She was so happy, and soon her big brother was grabbing her up in an extra special Kade hug. A hug that she knew did not happen easily, and she felt even more special than she had whenever he said yes. “You knew it was going to happen though Kade. It has always been Jared, but I am so very excited to have you giving me away. You have no idea how much it means to me! But where would we run? I don’t know if I could run without Jared though.” She laughed lightly because she knew he was teasing her. He was her big brother, and she adored that about him. Randi kept her hands wrapped around him, and she was happy that he had said yes. She was so happy, “Thank you, and you know what made it even more special...the fact that I get to do this whole wedding with you and your family. Not to mention that Jared finally woke up and realized that I have been in love with him forever. Now it is obvious to not just the whole family.” She smiled and was so happy that this was never going to change. She got to keep her relationship with Kade, and that is what mattered to Randi above all else. Her day was going to be magnificent now that she had her big brother on board. Kade knew that there was about to be a big change taking place within his family, though he had to say that the change was most certainly welcomed. Once before there had been an addition to their family in the form of a very young, very scared and lost little Amy Orsino. She had only been eight at the time, but Kade had been fifteen and had been old enough to fully understand what had happened. He had been best friends with her oldest brother, Micah, and friends with her brother Tyler as well. Losing the Orsinos had been tragic and devastating to everyone within the community, Kade going through it over and over again and wondering what could have happened that didn't allow any of them to make it out of that house fire. But, Amy hadn't been there and had been left without a family until Marion and Robert quickly scooped her up into their loving arms, legally adopting the young girl and making her a part of their already large family. Kade had been glad that his parents had been able to get a hold of of the girl and hadn't let her end up in the horribly screwed up system. He and Micah had been very close, and while he hadn't been really close with Amy then, he was glad that he now got to take care of her the way he knew Micah would have had he been given the chance. That had been the biggest change that the Trents had had to adapt to, up until now that is. This new addition of yet another sister seemed a long time coming, though, and all were prepared for this one.
Jared would be married, moving out starting a new life with Miranda very soon. That was an odd kind of idea in itself, Jared growing up and going out on his own little path. Kade was very used to Jared always being there. Even when Kade had moved out after he had graduated high school, Jared had been at Kade's and practically living there until the next year when he did move in. The Trents were just a close knit family that way, it never bothering Kade in the slightest. It was going to be a big change to see Jared with this whole new life, but it was a good change and it made Kade happy to see his brother and soon to be wife so blissful. And really, he loved the new little sister that he would be gaining, though it had felt like she was already a member of their family for years now. It was just going to be official, and very soon at that. He had to grin at how she too picked on Hunter, the youngest of the Trent brothers always the one to take the worst beatings when it came to their joking around and picking on him. He was a happy soul, though, always able to take whatever they dished out to him. Kade knew that he would have appreciated the offer to move in with him, but that was something that he was going to suggest, if not demand, from Mykayla.
Maybe he just didn't want to walk down the aisle with her? Was that what she thought? He resisted the urge to roll his hazel eyes at her. "You know, I don't really know what I started thinking of you that way, but you've just always been there..." he answered to her question of how long he had thought of her as another little sister. Kade couldn't pick out an exact date and time; he just knew that she had wormed her way into their family structure long ago because of how attached she and Jared had always been. She had always been around the house, Mykayla and Amy taking to her easily enough and Marion doting on her from the start. Rob had always treated her like a member of their family, him making jokes that he wished he could just trade his grams for Randi and let Jared go live there instead. "And I already have to be in the wedding. Might as well take a better part," he added, clearly joking as he winked an eye in Randi's direction. It was true that he was already going to be there as Jared's best man, but he wasn't going to do this for Randi just as a way of playing a bigger role. If Kade had it his way, he wouldn't be involved and have to wear that god awful tux at all, but he knew how important of a day this was going to be for his family and he wouldn't dare be an ass and say that he wasn't going to participate. Not only that, but how could he ever tell Randi no when she had asked him the way that she had? Of course he had told her yes, and he would walk her down the aisle and give her away to his baby brother number one, wishing them all the happiness and good fortune in the world because if there ever were two people that deserved it, it was Jared and Randi.
He had only been joking when he said that he might just have to run away with Randi and not let his brother have him, and only smiled and shook his head gently as she replied to him. He had certainly known that this would happen eventually, because even Jared wasn't so blind as to miss out on Randi for forever. It had taken him awhile, yes, but he had finally took some smart pills and saw what had been right there in front of him the entire time. And then she said that she didn't know that she could run without Jared, and he had only laughed. "Well, I think that would defeat the purpose then," he said, still just teasing her as he hugged her. It was when she started speaking next that Kade loosened his hold on the younger woman, pulling back so that he could look down into his friend's face. "Well, everyone knows that Jared was just a little bit oblivious, but all that matters is that you two are together now and we get to add you to our happy little clan." Because their family seemed to be getting big enough to indeed be called a clan. "Just don't start adding little Jared's to it right away. I don't think the world is ready for the second generation of crazies yet." The world was never going to be ready for more than just one Jared, and putting Randi and his genetics together might just produce an even crazier kind of child than both of them put together.

There was a lot more to think about now that she had actually talked to Kade about this wedding. Sure she had been so focused on the wedding itself, that she failed to realize that they were going to need a place to live. Randi also knew that Grams would let them stay there until they found a place to live. These were all things that she needed to focus on too, but that was what she had her big brother for. He was always the thinker, reminding her of the important things that needed done. But she could care less about the afterwards, she just wanted to have her life intertwined with Jared’s already in a more stable. Though the whole Trent family had already accepted her long ago into the family, but now it would be official. Jared’s family had welcomed her into their lives with open arms and she was truly thankful to have sisters that included her and brothers to protect her. She had never had a set of parents act the way that Rob and Marion did, and it was something she adored. Her own family was so dysfunctional, but being included in the Trent’s family had made her realize exactly what was wrong with everything. She was just glad that Jared had finally realized that she was in love with him and now here she was asking her big brother to walk her down the aisle.
She knew there was no way that Kade would really turn her down, considering she knew that he was the best man. Kade might as well be totally involved, but this was them. They teased all of their siblings no matter what, and she was sharing his sandwich with him. They were simple, and she loved their relationship more than anything. “Eh, it’s okay....you’ve always been the big brother. And in case I haven’t told you lately, thank you. Thank you for being my big brother and always being there.”

She smiled at his response, because the did love him. Loved him more than he would ever know and appreciated him even more than that. “I mean, you walking me down has to be better than walking in with Charlie right? I mean I am so much cooler.” She laughed lightly teasing Kade, but it was funny. She knew Kade and knew him well, but at least he was not walking down with Britt, but that was a whole other issue. Thinking about running away with Kade would have been funny, but this was Randi. She would never run away from Jared, even if she wanted to because she had such a hard time trying to breath on the days that he was not in her life. Sure it had taken him six long years to get his shit together, but now that he had they were in love. They always had been on some level, but she couldn’t help but smile at Kade’s offer. “Yeah, I know. But I don’t think I could live without him. You knew that already though, but even though he is completely oblivious he woke up. I am quite happy to be added to the clan, officially...even though I have been there for years.” She laughed because their whole family already considered her as part of the family. It was nice to feel included, and then Kade had to go and open a whole new can of worms. Little ones floating around the world would not be Randi’s idea of fun right now. It had taken them long enough to admit they were in love with each other, that she was not ready to have a kids. She laughed lightly at him, before speaking, “I don’t think little Randi and Jared’s will be running around any time soon. So the world is safe for a few years. I would much rather just spend some time with my husband being in love. But hey, if it happens you will just deal with being an uncle.” She laughed, and was totally at ease with the world. The two of them sat there laughing and just being their dorky selves for hours. It was nice to not think about the wedding the whole time. She loved spending time with Kade, and that was what she needed. She needed quality time with her brother, and that was what was happening. She sat there laughing and picking at little things, just spending time with him until Jared got home. [/blockquote] _______________________________
